MSU did very well, they grabbed a few kids from cal that Sac had on their list. They say EWU did well too, but they mostly in their area. Weber hasn’t done much and I don’t think Montana got rated that high. I’ve seen them also give NAU some props on their class.
Just an aside. I realize many kids want to go away to school. Get away from home. That's why Sac State gets so many kids from SoCal.
But just speaking from my own POV, I've never understood why any kid from Cali or really any nicer weather and more cultured location would ever seriously consider choosing Montana or North Dakota or South Dakota or Wyoming -- unless that was their only option for a scholarship / paid education.
Back during my recruitment days, there's no chance I would have ever considered any of those locations over CA, NV, WA, OR, ID, FLA, TX, AZ, GA, OH, etc. No chance. I would have had to have been completely out of other options. Nobody I know would have considered it either, with other options available.
Let's be real. The greater North-Mid-West isn't bustling with many options or things to do or good weather (did I already mention that? lol). And none of those schools are Harvard, Yale, MIT, Duke or Stanford-like.
With regard to North Dakota State, I always joke with my wife that they must be paying players with hookers and blow to get them to go there. Cause that program somehow attracts top level athletes that could otherwise attend some notable FBS programs.
And I often wonder how that all started? Because, well, it's freaking Fargo, North Dakota. Not a location 90% of young folks would just love to be for 4+ years. Especially when other options exist.
Again, everyone deserves the right to choose where they want to go. No issues there. All I'm saying is I often question how a location that's clearly not as desired as many, many others and that isn't Harvard or Stanford-like was able to attract enough top level student-athletes to get to the point that they are now.
Just one of the many things that make me go 'HMM".
