Looks to me like Matt was expecting a scholarship offer from the UUUs and when that didn't come through, and they only offered a WO opportunity, He became available to us. He looks like a real talent for the future of Wildcat football. He seems to have everything a D lineman needs. He may have been on the small side for the Utes and I'm sure they have some 4 and 5 star guys on their list.

This recruiting class is looking good.

Really like this class. I would like to see us sign a couple more OL, but...Coach did get Ortega in the early period and we should have 1 coming back from a mission. No matter, I would like to get a guard who can play immediately. A drop down or JC transfer.

I expect that we will see some transfers coming in along the O line. We should know a lot more by this time next week, but transfers can happen anytime. I have my fingers crossed. It's such a vital position. Everything starts there. I think we have everything else.

This is starting to look like a really big class. I wonder how many 2020 mission kids are coming back. I'm assuming that these four were mission kids and are coming back:

DL Jagger Childs
DE Connor Finlayson
TE Keayen Nead
OL Devin Smith.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the kids signing this year are mission kids. Sometimes we know, sometimes we don't.

From 2020, only 6 are left.
