He might still be? Marion and Co. would be crazy to look at his consistency and not want that coming back.Well, we now know the answer as to whether Schreiner will take advantage of the extra year.
Too bad he won’t a Hornet, though. Like others have stated, it would have been nice to keep such a proven and solid kicker/person.

Yeah, a kicker who has never kicked before in a game. Schreiner gonna get a good one year gig for sure.We just signed a kicker. That might have done it. It's clear Marion wants his own guys.
The kicker move really makes me wonder why you would choose a guy who never saw the field at UCLA vs a known commodity. However, he seems to have a clear path he wants for this team. Either way it should be a very interesting year!Yeah, a kicker who has never kicked before in a game. Schreiner gonna get a good one year gig for sure.
3-9 is a helluva drug. Maybe wanted a chance at a winning program? Marion is unproven.I like your optimism, but I think it’s highly likely that Schreiner checked in with the new coaching staff prior to entering the portal. And unless Zach just really wanted to move on, it seems easy to conclude that they don’t share our desire to have him return.
Committed is just look at me eye candy, need signed.
How can any program build consistency with a revolving door? There has to be measures adopted that limit this fluidity. Ok to change schools, but make it once per year.I don’t think many disagree. But it’s still news that belongs in this thread until it becomes official.
Even then, once they officially sign it still doesn’t preclude them from changing their mind and entering the portal thereafter. I’ve read recent reports of players that signed back in early December doing just that.
Point is, signing doesn’t mean much more than committing these days. These kids can change their mind at almost any time.
