2025 Recruiting Thread

When you put your school on a list that includes Ohio State, OU and FSU, it is automatic marketing. Pull one or two relatively big names and it can snowball from there. Marion is capitalizing on grabbing Agiye Hall and the buzz it created along with the other 4 star recruits/transfers. Don't be shy now. Spotlight is on Sac State. Build on the momentum.

Agiye hasn’t signed yet. We’ll see on that one.

I submit that it isn’t even about the top recruits in those football rich states. Like CA, it’s about finding the overlooked and under-recruited gems — like Cam Skattebo.

Ohio State largely has Ohio on lockdown. The Florida and Texas schools largely have their states on lockdown. And the other P4 schools get their fair share from those football rich states.

But there is still more talent to be had. There’s no reason Sac State can’t compete for those other student-athletes. And if they get lucky and land a player considered way over their head — so much the better.

Agree… we might have a blended culture at first but hopefully HC Marian and his staff will build good character on this roster.
We have a great young man in Carson Conklin who is smart and well mannered. We have some players that have the Univ of Miami Hurricanes style w jimmy johnson was HC.
I do hope that young man matured and is focused on fixing his life. The 1 yr can change your life message by Marian is true to rebuild his reputation. This will be an exciting year!
 
With the 2025 class now complete, the FBS transfers need to show they’re worth right away, but does anybody feel there’s a Freshman coming in they’re hoping to see or think will contribute immediately this season?

This is a great question... I general think it's less likely for a true Frosh OL or DL to see the field as much as some skill guys. Guessing we stole some of our recruits from bigger schools because they have a chance to play early here, maybe show out, then cash out in the portal.

I'll throw these names out to watch for them in '25 (for at least 4 games)...

1. WR - Drey Garner (WR Corps are wide open for contributors, we lost a lot of catches to graduation).
2. WR - Hayden Anderson (see above).
3. S - JoJo Solis (enrolled early, hard for a Safety to crack the lineup, but wouldn't be surprised to see him get in 4 games!)
