3/13 Home Opener UC Davis

The off week hurt. Two-possession deficit, and worsening weather with a sluggish offense...It’s a big test to overcome. Go Wildcats...turn this game around!

Davis isn’t doing anything special, just playing sound football. Our offensive line isn’t protecting Barron very well and he is panicking under pressures. We have more penalty yards than passing yards. Missed throws, dropped balls, missed blocks. Better fix it quick. I wouldn’t count on the defense shutting them out for the 2nd half.

You win some, you lose some. Aggie fans are pretty furious with our coaching staff about some of the decisions (play calling and timeout usage) we were making, but ultimately huge props to y'all on the adjustments and 2nd half comeback. Good luck the rest of the season.

I think UC Davis could win out the rest of the schedule. I knew it would be a tough game, but surprised the Wildcats offense struggled in the first half, but having a bye and playing a good team and well-coached team that rallied to win at Idaho, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.

Wildcats will probably have the same situation playing NAU in two weeks as NAU will most likely make the game up next week vs Idaho.

It’s a strange season. This was a good win to rally vs UC Davis and should help build some more confidence for the younger players. I think each week is a big battle in the Big Sky, but this was the toughest game on the Wildcats schedule.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Go Wildcats!

The way it looks to me is that UCD does not lose another game and ends up being the second team from the BSC to get a bid. I don't see anyone else on their schedule who can beat them, or us for that matter. UI has an outside shot, but they have the loss, on their home field, to UCD. However, I don't see it coming down to that.

Watching UCD play today was like looking into a mirror. They have improved tremendously on the defensive side of the ball.

What a game.

UC Davis had a great gameplan. Stop our run game and force our young QB to make the plays and you can tell he was rattled at times and for the most part it worked. Aggie run game is legit. Your Oline is huge and backs and QB are fast. The downside was your passing game and Weber came out focused on stopping your run game after half and it worked. The turnovers were huge and help swing the mo in Weber's favor. Aggies played great and after just watching ISU hang 42 on Eastern i think Davis can take that one.

It was a defensive battle and i think one Aggie fans can hold their heads high with.

Glad the Cats won. Time for ANOTHER bye and time to prepare for NAU........hopefully

Given the restrictions, it was a good crowd and fun to have football back.

However, I have heard that there were a minority of fans not wearing masks and that makes it a legitimate chance that fans will not be allowed at games in the future.

If fans are allowed at this next game with NAU and anyone sees another fan without a mask, it is up to all of us who want to continue seeing games live to have a serious conversation with our fellow fans. They think they are making a statement, but the only statement they are making is that they want attendance to be curtailed.

Mask up or stay home. Don't be that guy.

Our win over UC Davis is looking pretty good considering what they did to Poly today.

I think it’s a great statement and shows how good Coach Hill and the defense are to hold UC Davis to 13 points.

I also think UC Davis’s defense is solid, so for a freshman QB and offense to come back and rally in the 2nd half is great.

Lots of football left...and nothing is a given, but I think Weber State and UC Davis make the playoffs.

Agreed, I think Davis beats Eastern to eliminate them. I think Idaho loses two more (@Eastern and @ Bungles) which eliminates them. Nobody else below us and Davis will make it.

Not trying to count eggs before they hatch but There's a good change Weber and Davis could see each other again in the playoffs. Weber needs to win out and they need to do it convincingly they do that and they get no lower than the 2 seed.
