#3 EWU at Cal Poly Game Thread

Someone who is actually watching the game needs to share why VA is taking so many sacks today? Any RB in backfield to pick up rush?

No, he is dancing around in the pocket although he is under a lot of pressure. That was probably a smart play by Kupp, looked like the DB had a good chance to yoink that one.

ZERO offense today !!!! VA hanging on to the ball to long !

Exactly. He's not playing within himself today.

That said, our D is laying the WOOD! Tons of big hits!

Defense is playing great. Officials have been okay. CP is rushing three with a spy on VA and dropping 7 into coverage. Keeping a back in won't help anyone get open. OL has to step up.

+1000 the line needs to step up the pass protection. our D looks fired up and is dominating this game so far, laying the big hits. CP is starting to look more tentative running with the ball as the game goes on. really physical play so far I am impressed.

This is why I love Baldwin. He does an excellent job at probing defenses and finding weak points. The radio announcer said "quit running the ball, just keep throwing". The announcer doesn't know how Baldwin works. Cal Poly is supposed to be a difficult to move defense, but Baldwin is our crowbar. :notworthy:
