3 Games in 6 days - @NAU, EWU, PSU

Going up to 7,000 feet to play our second game in three days against a team that had eight days to prepare for us was never going to be easy. Throw in the letdown factor from Saturday night and you've got a recipe for disaster.

I think it's called our legs came out from under us, we just ran out of gas in the second half.

Like we did to Weber in Greeley? Now that was an ass kicking. At least we were in this game for a half. You came into Greeley and weren't in it for 5 minutes. Now go away and be a good Mormon.

Didn't play well at all, guess its better to have a slip up like this now than at the end of the year.

That's true. We back peddled into the conference tourney last year. Not time to panic at all. We've got Eastern at home on Thursday. I'll be there for sure.

Ya we definitely cooled off before the tourney last year. We'll be fine, as long as we don't slip up at home against EWU and PSU. Also if we can split on the road against the Montana's we'll be good.

Yes, sweep the games at home and split Montana's we're okay.

We need better play from the point guards. Lloyd seems to get rattled when he makes mistakes and doesn't seem to over come them. He can play great one game and be absolutely terrible the next.

In general I'd say that's true. But the loss tonight hurt. Unless the Griz get swept at weebs and NAU next week, you'll likely need to win in Missoula. It's difficult to imagine UM losing any game outside of those 3.

I'd be fine with a winner-take-all game in Missoula on the 12th, we won there last year...

Beardown, while I'm sure he probably physically could play by then, they are probably just going to redshirt him at this point. You don't want to take away a guy's year of elgibility for a couple of games (as big as those games may be). The ends just don't simply meet the means.

And honestly, even tonight, I don't think he would have helped. UNC actually won the rebounding battle 38-30. The main culprit of this L here is the 33% shooting from the field, including 5/22 from beyond the arc.

You have to give credit to Coach Adras and NAU, they came in with a gameplan of pressuring our backcourt and forcing turnovers and quick shots. Great effort by them, that's the Lumberjack team me and many others expected coming into conference play. You just hope that the Bears weren't exposed tonight, and that they will instead find a way to improve upon the problem of being able to handle this pressure.

In terms of the conference race, a loss certainly doesn't help but number 1 is still very much within reach (in fact, UNC still controls their own destiny). But, these next two games are huge, while the Bears win on paper, Eastern Washington is a young, gritty team (remember last year when we needed a late 3 from Kaba to beat the Eagles at Butler-Hancock?). And Portland State is a tough match-up, with some talented players.

Still a lot of hoops to be played, this is where it gets really fun.

After the Weber State loss this was always going to be one of those games where we either come out strong and kick the crap out of NAU or where we struggle the whole game.

My guess is that UNC wins these next 2 home games big, setting them up for a heck of a trip to Montana.

I think that is the most accurate and succinct description of last night.

I just don't understand how we can look so good at home but so horrible on the road. It's funny how our Bears give me so many ups and downs. When we were 7-0, I was picturing running undefeated through the conference and then upsetting someone like Michigan in the first round of the tournament. Now, I would be happy if we can win our first Big Sky Tournament game. Either way, I enjoy listening to the games and the rest of the season should be exciting!

We've played okay on the road. Weber needed that miracle shot to beat us and NAU is a pretty good team that was predicted to be in the top of the conference. Also, we've beat Suc State and Portland State on the road. No need to panic.

So we get Eastern Washignton tomorrow night. To be honest, I can't see us losing this game.

They have won 2 in a row but EWU has yet to win a road game all season and we already beat them at their place.

I say UNC 80 - EWU 68.

Hopefully Weber State can beat Montana tonight but I get the feeling that Montana will destroy them.
