i think this means we were the only team in their rankings that is competing in the CIT tourney. are we the top seed like last year? not that their really is a seeding in this tourney or a static bracket.

So we hosted one game last year... And you are telling me we were a top seed?!?! :o  I could have sworn Loyola Marymount and Utah State were higher seeds than us last year since they hosted more games than us... Maybe my logic is completely flawed though.
Also I too am surprised Air Force is in this field. CIT claims to be for the mid-majors and I thought a few years back people were saying the MWC is no mid-major. :?

Also Murray State was invited to either the CIT of CBI but they declined the invitation. The only tournaments they wanted to participate in were either the NCAA or the NIT. Which they didn't make. :coffee:

Nice job Cat Cat, looks like the NCAA screwed Weber again. Detroit did not win The Horizon regular season crown. How on earth did they get a bid over Weber? That committee is full of horse s*** . As for the CIT, Weber was the top seed last year but to get teams to participate the committee how to bribe them with home game possibilities. Loyola I was promised at least 1 home game if they won their first round game in Idaho. Which they did. Weber did have the high attendance for last season's first round game. Let's all support the cats and hope our team does well in this tournament. Go Weber!

So where will we be sent to play if we beat Cal Poly?

Oral Roberts? Air Force? Hawaii? Texas Arlington? Northern Iowa? North Dakota?

If we are able to beat Cal Poly, we will most likely face one of the above listed teams

Stew Morril and the guy who runs the CIT are good friends, it's no suprise Utah State got to host the entire CIT last year even if they were 3 games above 500 when it started

The Aggies didn't make any tourny this year.

I know, I was talking about last year's CIT tournament. Utah State went in with an 18-15 record and got to host the whole thing, after the tournemant was over, I learned from my uncle who talked to Kyle Tresnak eating at lunch one day that Morril and the guy who runs the CIT tourney are really good friends.........

Regarding the bracket question: If memory serves me, the matchups are re-set after each round, with an eye toward geography and travel time/cost.

Hope they don't lump the Wildcats in with North Dakota, three times in one season is enough, and the last game was too close.

There is no bracket. Think of it as a new tournament after each round. Maybe its like fcs playoffs where you have to want the home games and back it up with $$?

Regarding top seed, maybe a better way to say it was last yr we had the highest rpi , best record, highest home attendance first round. There is no seeding or a top seed technically.

Nobody cares about these tournaments, & it will show in the attendance #'s. It will take a miracle to get 2,000 people there. Have fun

NIT, stands for Nobody interested Touney, Cbi & Cit are more than jokes, I dont get it, just say no Rahe.
