#4 (FCS) EWU @ #25 (BCS) OSU Game Thread

adams 23 for 30 411 yards 4 tds 107 yards rushing and 2 td's

vs pac 12 top 25 team

gotta be some kind of record

NC still number one with me without question...

NC is the biggest win, no doubt.

The mods on the scout forum aren't letting any of us post. the thing that bothers me about what they are posting over there is how much blame they are laying on their defense and how little credit they are giving our team. Especially after all the writing and such about body bag games and 45 point blowouts and Division II teams.

I think it is the second best win for the program. That said, the best win for national credit. More people will notice/care about this than a FCS title. I (and most FCS fans) give more credit to a NC, but I think this is bigger for putting us on the map with the casual national fan.

Can't help but to put a Vegas spin on this.............if you were anywhere near the state of Nevada and did not take EWU+27.......what? That's what you call a lock. EAGS4LIFE.

I was at the game and it was just crazy.

Obviously a huge win for the program in terms of national recognition, but for me personally nothing tops the NC game.

No doubt!.... although NC win is a close second IMO

Championships first as they represent a culmination of many events (people, time, luck etc..), a game like this is lightning. Looking at the talent on the field tonight, this game doesn't happen without the NC win. IMO

I know ya'll could hear me yelling all the way from Atlanta too. AWESOME. Cloud nine in my household :D

This. This is the biggest win in terms of national exposure as we are only the 3rd FCS team to beat an AP Top 25 program.

NC is the biggest for me personally, and I would agree that this win never would have been possible without that NC win back in 2011. It did tons for the program in terms of recruiting and exposure.

And those DBags over on OSU scout still won't let me post.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Vernon Adams passed for 411 yards and ran for 107 and the go-ahead score with 18 seconds left as Eastern Washington upset No. 25 Oregon State 49-46 on Saturday to become the third FCS team to beat a ranked FBS team.

Adams overwhelmed the Beavers in a performance in sure to attract attention around the nation. He threw for four touchdowns and ran for two, completing 23 of 30 passes despite leaving the game twice -- once with cramping and a second time after taking a hard hit near the sideline.

Adams returned, though, and scored on a 2-yard run to put the Eagles up 49-46. It was the first time a team from the Football Championship Subdivision has defeated a ranked team from the Football Bowl Subdivision since James Madison beat Virginia Tech in September 2010.

One of the things I liked seeing today was when we put Vitto in, the first play was an empty backfield - including the game winning drive. Lots of confidence in the back up. Might be important going forward.

I have to admit that I was more than a little concernes when VA walked off the field, but Vitto made a couple of clutch throws in that second series he was in before Adams was able to come back im the game.
