#4 Weber State v. #22 North Dakota

For our last two games I have taken a little time to browse our opponents fan forums. In both cases the fans seem to be happy and optimistic in the week leading up to the game. They talk about how their guys will be able to beat us, how good their players and coaches are, and how weak our O is. They can't wait to shut us down.

After we beat them, their fans are calling for coaches heads to roll. In MSU's case, heads did actually roll. Nobody seems willing to admit that our O is getting better, while our D is still one of the best around. We are certainly not perfect, but we have come a long ways. The fans around the BSC have not figured that out yet. I find it humorous.

Different situation coming up next week. Sac fans don't seem to give a crap and probably expect very little out of their team.

Could only listen to the game today. I'm done trying to stream games anyway. The conference really really needs to get better streaming somehow, it's awful and very frustrating. I'd even pay a fee for something better.

Best game of the year for the offense. Great to see. If the offense can continue like this we could see another deep playoff run.

Thought it was a bad decision to kick the FG at the end. Three points wouldn't have meant much at that point and too risky. Just run it, kill some clock if you don't get the first, and let the defense finish off the game.

But good win. Win out and we get a seed. Win two of three and we should get a home game. Love the direction we're headed.

My .02
Nice win. I wasn't sure which Weber team would show up, was a little nervous about another dome catastrophe.

Offense - B plus
Best offensive game thus far. Great game plan. Very efficient, ball control offense. Constantine finally looked comfortable. Made the reads when he needed to and managed the game. Nice to find our TE playing a significant role. Also Denby played very well. The running game was solid.

Defense - B plus
Another solid job by the defense. We got the turnover we needed to turn momentum back our way. Stopped UND from running what they wanted to run and only got beat on a few long plays. The personal fouls were concerning.

Special Teams - D plus
Not a good week for this unit. UND's kickoff return for a TD was rather flukish. Looked like we over ran the play and then UND got away with a penalty that should have been called. Other kick coverage was solid. The blocked field goal was inexcusable. We didn't even bump the defender slightly. That needs to be fixed. Return game was stifled by short kicks but Weber still came away with decent field position. The fake punt was just a little off in the execution. Should have had that one.

Hoping this is the start of a good run by all three units. Tune it up at home and then take care of business on the road.

It doesn't look like this game will be streamed.

Pluto and WatchBigSky.com

I haven't been able to get WatchBigSky to work at all this season and Pluto(crap)TV stops the stream every 30 minutes or sooner-- usually sooner and has to be refreshed. Is anyone else not seeing the same things?
There is a fix for the WatchBigSky feed on the Big Sky Conference Facebook page.

"If you are experiencing issues with the WatchBigSky.com website and getting a "playback network error" please look to the top right of your screen. If you see a red mark, click it and accept load scripts. Your scripts are being blocked and not loading properly. Your feed should work after that. Sorry for the inconvenience."

This worked for me and the feed was rock solid.

IMHO, the BSC just needs to get a better streaming service.

Also, I want to give my opinion on our O.... The offensive play calling has been stellar over the past two games. I don't know if this is a function of the players executing better, the coaches having more confidence in the players ability, the defenses we have played against, or a combination of all of it. However it has happened, the playbook seems to have opened up and good things are happening. The only thing that has not shown up yet is a little bit of trickeration. Maybe this next game. :coffee:

We did try a little trickeration with our fake punt, but the refs put the kibosh on that quickly, like they did on several other plays.

That game was completely one sided on calls, even coach Hill mentioned fighting the refs, which he never does.

I've tried Pluto. It sucks.

I missed the fake punt due to Pluto crapping out on me. I probably missed 20% of the game.
