Brandon Biggs, a LB from Valor has committed to the Bears. Also, I have seen 3 or 4 preps commit to UND - No Names. What's the deal? When Collins was hired, he made a point that his goal is to keep other Colorado preps from going to other Big Sky schools. So far it hasn't worked. I've seen UND, SDSU, and USD all pick up Colorado kids. :ohno:
With all due respect Beardown, you are sounding a bit naïve about Collins and his recruiting. The way things are going or at least sounding, does Collins even make it to spring ball ??

It's simple really, what does UNC have to possibly offer to keep kids in state? Nothing. You have a team that hasn't had a winning record in 10 years (something like 22-98 over that time) , a coach that hasn't had a winning record ever, an outgoing Senior class that has been very vocal about this coaching staff, a large number of players who wish they could be anywhere else and expected to have a new coach this Spring and local high school coaches telling their players to go anywhere but UNC. Basically, you have a coach and by extension an A.D. driving the program into the ground.

I understand where we are, but UND? Who is on the no-name staff that has links to Colorado? I only ask because they never used to recruit Colorado until a few years ago. UNC is in a bad position, but it's not like the Sue...errr..the no-name school has much more to offer. Plus, you've got to live in North Dakota.

Have you seen the indoor facility that is under construction at UND? Facilities like that help attract recruits.

No, but it still wouldn't be enough to pull me into that frozen tundra. I know your probably new to the UNC family, but UNC and UND have a llllooonnngggg history together, going back to the NCC days. We had some pretty good match-ups. UND fans though are way more passionate about hockey. I would even say women's hockey is more important to them. They get decent attendance numbers in football, but they also play indoors. Football though is not a priority for their fans and the athletic department.

Patrick Stephens, a WR from Mullen has committed to UNC.

Senior year 36 catches, 515 yards, 9 TDs

Hope the Northridge WR commits too:

Senior year 69 catches, 1266 yards, 14 TDs and first team all-state and all-state game participant

with those two guys the future would look good in the passing game

2 commits so far? I believe they had over 20 last year. anyone know of any others?
7 commits mentioned on this thread alone. I'm not worried about UNC's ability to recruit good players. The past recruiting classes have turned out fine. I'm sure when the smoke clears on signing day, we will all be pleased with the talent coming to UNC.

Why not go get this kid? Huge numbers in HS and interest from several DI schools, but no offers.

JuCo tight end, Chuntony Johnson committed to UNC this weekend. He's a big dud. 6 foot and 274lbs. He had offers from Idaho and Murray State. Welcome to UNC, Chuntony. Here's his Hudle page.

Did you mean defensive end? His highlights are all at DE or DT. Can't see a 6', 275 lb kid playing at TE. A little short. Looks relentless as a DE/DT though.

Keifer Glau is a DB/SS. CHSAA may have him listed as a WR, but I don't think he played that position much. Also heard that he committed to play baseball for the Bears and is walking on to the football team.

A defensive lineman from Regis is going to be a Bear. Can't remember where I saw that though.
