Anybody care to talk about Ladies' BB?
What kind of loser wants to discuss ladies basketball?? Really, who the hell cares?? Does WSU even have a women's bball team anymore?

I am probably much too old for the younger generations trash talking......but Da Griz are you serious?

Are we moving on to Chess team championships next?

Or, will you go all rodeo on us.......

Are you being serious? Women's Basketball? I thought Men's under-water basket weaving took a higher priority.

Just admit it Da Griz Montana only does well in two things Football and DUI's.

1. I'm sorry, but are Weber fans really blaming that freakin' beat-down on officiating?? Pullleeassee. You guys are better than that. Just call it what it was: Pure domination and destruction from a far better team.

2. Wait. Suddenly, after a dozen posts about some obscure trophy (which Montana won a few years ago, incidentally, but which 95% of fans wouldn't even know existed), people don't care about women's BB?? I'm pretty certain women's BB is a component in the obscure trophy, is it not??

Who is the President's Cup obscure to??? Maybe to UM fans, but not to anyone else. Ask your school president if they care about it!! Ask the AD if he cares about it --- oh wait, probably not because he doesn't care if football players beat up other students at the school. :|

Hell of a reply post, smjcpa.

I'll simply presume that by ignoring both of the points raised in my post you agree with them.

Etuaiti jumped any felony bails recently?

For one thing, there are only a few who are blaming the officiating. If you look at the posts, most of them are from the same 2-3 people.

For the second, yes woman's basketball is part of the equation, but how many people on this fan board really care that much about woman's basketball?? I for one do not really care for it. The level of play, talent, and etc does not really excite me at all. Even if our program were similar to the woman's bball at Tennessee, I still would not care to watch it.

Third, we have had one convicted felon from the football team in the past 5-6 years maybe, but how many convicted felons has UM had from their football team in the same time period??

I admit it on Saturday Montana was the better team there's no doubt about that. However, I don't think our team played as well as they can either. I wasn't at the game but watching it on TV it didn't appear to me that the wildcats had their hearts into the game. Not trying to take anything away from the win because it was a good win for you guys. Just saying what I saw.

Also, I don't think you can say Montana is a far better team since both teams have been doing well this year and looking at the game before it was played both teams matched up pretty good. Turnovers killed us.

So good luck to you guys in the playoffs but I won't be cheering for you.

Frankly, this quote makes no sense to me in the context I mentioned. You guys trumpet the Presidents' Cup, but then mock one of the few visible, revenue-producing sports that is accounted for in this supposedly-wonderful Trophy. You may not like women's basketball. I may not like women's tennis. But to denigrate one of the sports out of one side of your mouth while parading around the PC trophy is nonsensical at best.

Womens basketball: Yawn, Yawn, Yawn, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I will more than graciously allow your Griz ladies dominance in womens hoops while our Wildcat Men continue to rack up championship after championship under Coach Rahe.

Do Weber fans wish our womens hoops program was more dominant? probably. If they were dominant would we watch them? probably not. We do really well in lots of other sports besides basketball (that is why we so often win the president's cup), but really do we watch them? most of us don't. I'll bet it's the same in Montana.
Does that answer placate you, Grizwold?
P.S Womens basketball is NOT revenue-producing in 99 percent of schools. I don't know what you were smoking when you said that. Honest Question: does it produce revenue in Montana? If so, good for you guys. But it just goes to show there must not be much to do for entertainment up there.

basketball is uncharacteristically underweight

I just can't wait for the playoffs. Rumor we get app. state second round.

thats looking 5 games ahead. :? how bout we take it one game at a time! the term "any given Saturday", was coined for a reason.

good luck Wildcats with your remaining games!

Dudes, take a business course. Women's basketball is a REVENUE sport at 99 percent of all schools. Whether it's PROFITABLE may be another story (although I would guess it is at many schools, and certainly is at Montana where they draw 4500 per game). But I'm guessing just about everyone charges for their women's games, making it a REVENUE sport.

And yes, I'm still confused. You yawn at womens' basketball, but think the PC Trophy is the greatest thing in the world?? I'll say it again: Those are mutually exclusive concepts.

WOW what a bunch of serious bandwagoners.

So now that your football team got its ass handed to them no one cares, you're a basketball school, and no one cares about FCS football? What a SERIOUS slap in the face to your own players and coach. As fans of any team, big or small, it's just sad - and pathetic.

Newsflash - here in Pac 10 country - people KNOW who Montana is and what they're known for. No one knows WHAT Weber State is (they pronounce it Webber) and .... well....looks like no one in the barren state of Utah cares either.

I've never seen a bigger group of whiny fans in my life, which is sad considering you get less people at football/basketball games then a small MT high school.

There may be one or two on this board who are giving up on football. You really don't know much about the real fans here at Weber. Most of us on this board are looking forward to Weber winning our last 2 football games, and hopefully ( :? ) making the playoffs. WE HAVE NOT WRITTEN OFF FOOTBALL!!!!
People in the PAC 10 know Montana?? Give me a freaking break. We get less fans than a small hs in montana to basketball and football?? PROVE IT!!!!! BTW schools such as Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, Florida, NC State, and others know about Weber Basketball. At least in Utah people do know that Weber has an athletic Dpt. In Portland not many people know about PSU athletics. If you are in Portland do you go to their games??? You can talk all about the attendance at Weber, but what about other Big Sky schools?

you guys are all about football until you lose. then its all about basketball....but not womens basketball. you all are just as subjective as the UM. you think basketball is the biggest thing. the UM thinks its all about football. you had ONE winning football year. atleast we compete in basketball most years. and womens b-ball we all know about. so you know maybe you should take a look in the mirror as will we and just shut up about losing and who is better. we dominate football you dominate basketball(mens) then everything after that nobody cares about anyway....if you all dont care about the other sports why do you brag about the pres. cup???? you argument has so many flaws its worse that swiss cheese. Sit back take a big dose of your chill pill as will the montana fans and quit trying to prove...we/you are better.
