We're almost last in the conference. I wouldn't mind seeing student fees going up a bit. Compared to others in the conference, we can afford to ask for it. As far as contributions, we aren't too bad. We need better tix sales. Here's the latest data.

What's the football attendance average been the last 5 or 6 years? I'm afraid to know I'm sure it's like 3K or something terrible like that.

With a decent team for a few years no reason we can't average 8K. That should be the goal in 2 or 3 years.

It was somewhere around 4.5k, but yeah, that would help our budget. Nottingham used to get some good numbers. Perhaps soon.

You would think that there would be a lot of spare money on these boards to go towards the Blue & Gold club considering how many midland England Kitchen cabinet offers there are on here. I mean, I have had my entire house remodeled with the Leeds UK Cabinet post from here.

New a.d. will need to improve Nottingham.

The new AD has to be all about raising money. Sad but true but that's all that matters anymore... They did a thing on 60 Minutes about this last fall using Michigan as the example. Of course that's not UNC but it's the same idea on a smaller scale. For whatever reason under the prior regime they seemed to have a 1980's method of raising funds, send out some flyers and make a couple phone calls... that's not going to cut it anymore.

There's money out there. Go get it. Get some naming rights going - Monfort Stadium at Nottingham Field, or Lighthouse Lending Stadium at Nottingham Field, BlackJack Pizza (i think one of founders of BJ pizza is an alumnus) etc.

I totally agree Beardown, we have not been innovative enough with raising money. I have been saying this for years. We have barely scraped the surface ( I think) in regards to raising capital. There are a lot of big hitters out there that from what I hear, nobody contacts these people and they will do anything if just asked.

There certainly needs to be a capital campaign. I looked over priority points for the B and G Club from 2010 (can't find the latest) and there's some noticeable alumnus names not on there - Vince Jackson, Aaron Smith, Wellington Webb, Ed Werder, Greg Germann are not on there. I know VJ gives a scholarship, but he's not on the list otherwise. Get these guys on board. That's what real A.D.'s do. Here's the list from 2010.
