• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Simply click your profile name > account upgrades > BigSky Club > choose between the year long subscription (two free months) or month to month

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

Anonymous source, gotta love em'.

And the book was written and if you were to read it, it would be read. The book had pages with number, numbers forward and numbers backwards. The true meaning of the book is one that can only be understood if a person can understand what needs to be understood.

Very Zen like...LOL.

Why not change the grading of coaches

From:

1) Scholarship player grades at ISU
2) how well the players do in the community
3) coach win-loss record

To:

1) coach Win- Loss record
2) scholarship players grades at ISU
3).how well the players do in the community

It could help the program win games for a change. I believe Kramer gives Athletic Scholarships and not Academic Scholarships. This is not the IVY League.

That's something you'd have to discuss with the AD and remember he gets his orders as well from those higher up the chain of command.

PBP I will be sarcastic if I want to, if UFC cannot handle it then so what. I suggest he grow a set. I read inane post after post and never comment, I believe I'm done being a nice guy, if your only reason for posting is to put out your opinion by implying something, then expect my reply.

PBP - I believe blackfootbengal was talking to you but not sure. Added me into conversation.

Leave things to me. Let's not escalate anything...it's already been taken care of. Just let it go.

You would think Kramer would like the "Money Games" a little more since he earns a 1% bonus from each of those games.

Nice bonus and deserving as $$$ games help the other sports

It's a myth that football at ISU supports the other sports. According to numbers ISU submitted to the State Board earlier this year, football generated about $827,000 in revenues in 2015 ($650 K in game guarantees and $177 in ticket sales) while football related expenditures were about $2.4 million.

The taxpayers ($4.3 million in state dollars) and the students ($2 million in fees) really carry all of the sports, including football. They make up well over half the revenue of the Athletic Department's $11.6 million budget.

That should end any comments on the board about football supporting other programs. As usual Brad comes up with the facts.

He will lower the big KABOOM for a week and ban you for a comment like this. For future reference.

Sorry that disturbs you but I've given plenty of warnings to posters about courtesy. I understand the issue's with the way UP expresses himself but there was no need to be sarcastic towards him and then challenge a moderator. I'll do it again in the future if I need to.

I'd rather the site have 10 posters who have a good dialogue and show some respect then a site with say 50 posters who think "anything goes..." but that's just me.

If or when the time comes that I'm asked to relinquish my responsibilities by the powers that be, I'll certainly do so...until then I'll do what I can to help moderate the site, stressing civility.

...PBP.....I think if you had put "2 or 3 pollsters" where you put the number "10 pollsters" in your previous post...you would have been a lot closer to accurate....

I also heard the other day (getting too old, can't remember who told me) that the academic requirements for athletes at ISU are going to be relaxed somewhat. Dang! Who told me that???

Claws:

Doesn't matter to me or impact me in the slightest how many there are. Common courtesy should be used regardless of how many are involved. I guess I don't get the fixation with the "number" of contributors that seems to be uppermost in the minds of some (as if somehow that validates things...) ISU starts winning games...you'll see the number of contributors increase.

Let's also get real here. I took steps to do something for the very first time OK? What I found very interesting was the list of names of individuals who have had their privileges revoked in the past when I was going through the process. That list was quite long. Obviously in the past someone decided that steps needed to be taken to control things and apparently did it a large number of times. This is nothing new apparently although to some it seems to be monumental.

Not a chance in hell were tons of people banned. Very few. Less than five. However, quite a bit of usernames were banned because they were spam usernames that were posting ads to sell things. I can tell you that in a few years only a few people were eliminated. All of those had to do with very vulgar and offensive language and/or threat or users creating multiple usernames to hack a thread. It easy to see because you can see what IP address the posts originates from.

This is a fan board Mark. Figure it out. It isn't a place where you play GOD and decide who or should not be allowed to participate. If someone really crosses the line I am all for it. I get it dude. But sarcasm, give me a freaking break.

I have a fixation with letting the fans have a place to gather and to talk, argue, and banter back and forth. The board members (for the most part) police their own. Only step in or threaten stepping in when it really is a bad issue.

Its a fan board, not the Liptak seal of approval board. Get over yourself. You have your voice, you do it on the air and during the coaches show. Let the fans have a place, with all its imperfections.

...thanks bengalcub for saying ....what I believe a lot of us are feeling....I KNOW I AM ...and two quotes.......one.... Robin Williams from "Good Morning Vietnam"..(in fact I believe he even said it ON the radio)..."AAwww you're going to go to Hell for that one"........

.....and two....a quote from a sports personality...."KABOOM !"....

..."nothing but net".... in my opinion...........

Fair enough. You've made your point. You can now take over again. I saw a long list of banned names, had no idea the reasons why or wherefore, just that they were banned.

I'm simply going to post my "This Day In ISU Basketball" and that's all.

Feel free to have at it...any poster can say whatever they want, insult, rip and belittle whomever. I did what I could, you feel I was wrong...so be it. It's your situation now or whomever wants it.

Have fun! :thumb:
