As of 11:45 Monday no game notes have been released. Does Grua realize the game is Thursday? Maybe he could try to get something out before kickoff.
Dammnit SWCAT, Grua is VERY busy with the Marketing guys doing "top secret" covert marketing.

That was pretty funny. And probably true.

Like I said earlier, I would like to see a 45-24 or closer, but I think it will end up being something like 54-17. Just excited to get the season started.

After losing 7-70 and 6-70 to our two FBS opponents last season, this game will be a good gauge for how the new coaching staff is doing. ASU should be a better team than Utah and USU were last season, so if we lose by less than 50 I'll see that as a big improvement.

I dont really care what the outcome of the game is, as long as we dont lose half our team to injury I'll be happy. Our real season starts next Weekend.

I don't really care what the outcome of this game is, as long as they look like they belong on a football field and coach shows some emotion, especially after the whoopin sure to come. I'm much more interested in the showing next week after most likely taking some big-time lumps Thursday. Of course, I'm always hoping for no injury along the way too.

Anything can happen! Shorten the game by winding the clock and take some chances if it's close in the second half. If the defense is having a hard time making a stop, I hope we go for it on 4th and short a lot more. We don't have to win this game for wildcat fans to be proud. Just keep the score as respectable as possible and play a full game no matter the score.

Lezzzz Go Weber!!!

Score prediction on House of Sparky is 70-7. If you guys can keep it within the 51 point spread and get out without any injuries count it as a win.

A website called the House of Sparky doesn't seem like it would be biased at all!

The reality is; however, even with an improved team (which I expect the Wildcats to be) this game will only be as close as the Sun Devils want to make it. If they want it to be 70-7, it probably will be. I don't know Coach Graham very well (except for his very quick departure from Pitt). SunDevil86, does Coach Graham have a propensity for running up the score?

Coach Graham is a great coach. Here in Phoenix, we hope he stays around for a long time. Last year the first game was against Sacramento State. ASU shut out Sac St. I think the score was 55-0. It could have been much worse. Coach Graham called off the dogs in the 2nd half. If the score gets out of control early I see a lot of 2nd and 3rd teamers playing in the 2nd half, especially on offense. However, as inexperienced as ASU's defense is, the first team defense may play most of the game.

I heard Coach Graham on the radio yesterday and he gave a full run down of Weber's football team. He knew about all the players. He admitted a lot is unknown with so many new players and a complete new coaching staff. But he said they thought that Weber would try to play ASU a lot like Utah did last year. Utah was one team last year that had success against ASU's offense. ASU escaped Utah with a last minute TD to win a low scoring game. He seemed to be taking this game very seriously and said the players were also. So at least he was showing some respect for Weber.

Like others have said I hope to see Weber put up a good fight, with a "no giving up" attitude and come away healthy. They should enjoy playing here. Sun Devil Stadium is an amazing place and atmosphere for college football.

This was the field yesterday afternoon. Ready for College Football! It's Time!!!

The Cynical Sun Devil's Worst Case Scenario

When arriving at Sun Devil Stadium for their walkthrough, the blistering heat puts Arizona State in a bad mood. They have a lackluster walkthrough and Todd Graham doesn't notice his team's sluggishness because he's too busy figuring out which bucket hat he's going to wear. After he picks the camo bucket hat, Weber State arrives in Tempe having not seen a palm tree in years. The Wildcats tour the campus and the town of Tempe and are overjoyed that they can finally wear those cool team tanktops they got two years ago that the Utah cold prevents them from sporting more regularly.

After a team visit to Raising Canes to further boost team morale, Weber State alum Damian Lillard shows up unannounced. Because he isn't doing anything with his time after getting cut from Team USA ( ), he convinces coach Hill to let him suit up in purple and white one more time.

Lillard shines in his first and only appearance as a football player, catching two touchdowns and employing a cross-over to shimmy his way past a Sun Devil defender for another. The Pac-12 refeeres know that Lillard is playing under a fake name, but they decide to let it slide as retribution for the Wisconsin slip-up last year. Weber State takes a 24-14 lead at halftime, and the game is prematurely ended after Lillard dunks over the goalpost and tears it off its hinges. Graham slams his bucket hat down in disbelief and immediately leaves the field as only Todd Graham can, with his head hot enough to fry an egg on.

LOL

Weber beating ASU compares with Whitesnake being the best rock band of all time!! Hahaha!! What stung the most was the fact that ASU beat Sac 55-0 last year and then Sac destroyed the Cats in Ogden 31-3. Ugh! I guess the only thing we can truly hang our hats on is the hope only a new season brings. I just hope for an injury free game where the Cats compete.

SunDevil, just because ASU athletes play in the infamous (like El Guapo) PAC-12, doesn't mean they are immune to injury. I don't want to see anyone get injured. So, in the process of hoping that Weber comes out injury free, I also hope that ASU also has an injury free game.

Our game against Sac last year was one of the worst offensive called games I have seen in a long time, and due to our offensive inability, our defense was on the field all game long.

We really needed a coaching change. I'll be keeping an eye on Sac this year especially with Sears as thier head coach.
