Battle of the Birds: #5 ISUr at #4 EWU

I think we got the momentum going into the half and look at the bright side we held them on Defense :-) before the end of the half.

It looks like our O is wearing down their D but I don't know how we can stop their O. It's going to be an interesting finish...

Our pass rush absolutely has to improve. We need to force that QB into a couple bad decisions and hope for a TO or two.

he's throwing the same passes as last week to the same spots... not disrupting the timing by pressing or getting our hands up on the d line if we aren't getting there... pretty easy throws. only good news is short 8-15 yds middle isn't there due to hamlin and good deeper drops.

Would you rather he ran or throw?

I wish they would put Zylstra in at DE and bring another big body in the middle. Their OL is huge and I think they are every bit as good as Washington's. We may need to start blitzing more and take a chance because they will just grind their way down the field every time they have the ball.

I'd rather he throw. Number 25 is who's killing us on the ground. Their read option hasn't really hurt us that bad when he's kept the ball.

Kick coverage has been pretty abysmal so far as well. That needs to improve...gotta stop spotting them good field position and we need to limit them more on 1st and 2nd down. Get them in more 3rd and long situations like we did against Montana.

Not sure what you are talking about... Didn't look like running was the option as he lit us up on those passes to the sidelines..... note the d linemen coming up field heads down trying to get there with their hands down though. DE's are tall enough to maybe make him have to find a different passing window or be less accurate or both.
