Battle of the Birds: #5 ISUr at #4 EWU

High scoring affair, tough loss EWU fans. I would have guessed with all the points scored we would have been on the losing side of this game.

I know a lot of you guys questioned our team speed, but we do have a few guys who can run, jump, and catch.
Not sure there was much that could have been said before the game to convince you guys....but I think both teams showed why they were in the playoffs.

I didn't rest until we recovered the final onside attempt and entered victory formation. Wish we could do this on an annual basis with a H/H series. Maybe after you're done with UNI.

Good luck Eagle fans, praying for your player who's family had the medical emergency. Lets do it again next year, except maybe we can host next year.

Great post. You were better than any team we played this season, including Washington. I think you'll win it all. Go birds!

Congrats on a great season EWU. I hope we can schedule some non-conf games in the future. You have a great program and I'm proud that we are finally at a level to compete with the top tier of the FCS.

Thanks for all the class displayed by the Birds fans the past week. I think I said this earlier, but there's a conference mate of yours whose fans could learn a thing or two from you all.

As an NDSU fan (though I didn't graduate from there), I have been reading your board all year and have been impressed with most of you posters knowledge of the game and the respect you have for the game. This is my first post on any board and that includes NDSU's board. I have enjoyed the ride That NDSU football has provided us over the past few years. I remember a time when It wasn't easy and the dome was a third full. But I digress, the reason for my post is to let you know that most NDSU Fans are respectful fans and are disappointed at those who aren't!

I for one have been looking forward to another meeting with another great football program in the FCS - EWU. We/I would hope that soon we have an opportunity to have you as guests at the Fargodome (a building many trash though I don't expect they would trade it for the outdoors in November and December). Your fans would be welcomed at one of the best tailgating parties in the FCS (please don't take that at bragging).

With that said, congratulations on a great year especially considering the loss of your quarterback for a number of games. That in it self says a lot for your program! I will add that the strength of the Bison has been its defense. It has saved us in a number of games and is a must.

I realize one post form one NDSU Fan may not make up for all those Butt Heads but thought I'd try!

Looking forward to watching you next year!

Great post! It's silly to base your total view of a fanbase on message board comments or for that matter to take MB comments too seriously.

I've got two years to plan that trip to Fargo. I might actually consider it.

Congrats on all you're success!

To All,
Saw both FCS Playoff Games, NDSU defeated SH, last time I saw the score, NDSU had a 28-3 lead. ILL State defeated UNH. UNH had me worried, State had a little more trouble with UNH. UNH played good, but Ill. State came through. That means we should finish about 4th in the Nation in FCS FB. The Birds will finish 1 or 2, depending on the Championship in Frisco Jan 10th, 2015. "Congratulations to NDSU and Ill. State. Great Season Eagle Nation, lets get ready for 2015, starting with Feb. 2015 for Recruits. Thanks Coaches for an Outstanding year. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:           . Vic Wallace

FormerEag, And Others,
Thank for your concerns during the emergency at Roos Field. I left about two minutes before the incident. As a matter of fact, I was in the vicinity of Betz Road at the Stop light when I heard the incident on the radio from Larry Weir our Announcer. I couldn't stand how fast the Redbirds were scoring after we scored, and time running out for us. I had made a promise not to walk out on any more of our games 2009. We defeated NDSU in over time. We had just gotten the ball, then our QB fumbled the ball. It had snowed that game, so I was at my truck brushing the snow off of my truck, but still listening to the game on the radio. We got the ball back, with approximately 2:29 left in the game 4th qtr, approximately 90 yds to go, we started to move the ball. We tied the game up, tried like hell to get back for the overtime, I got back in time to see the WR catching the ball to go ahead in OT. We held NDSU w/o/ a score, won by a TD, We went to Frisco Texas Jan. 2010, came back from being down 19-0 to won 20-19. I still smile when I think of different faces from VP Biden. Good memories. Is it February as yet? Recruits Announcement. Vic Wallace

To All,
Hoping all had a very Merry Christmas with their families, and many others. I did seeing all my Children, Grand Children, and Great Grand Children. Hoping the Rodgers did had as great Christmas as possible during these times :( :( :( . God Bless All. Vic Wallace

To All,
Reference to our Victory against NDSU 2009 in over time at Roos Field, the young man that caught the winning touchdown, was Tyler Hart, very nice young man, the team we defeated in 2010 for Championship was Delaware State. My Side Kick Chris clued me in. I couldn't remember his name or team we played in 2010. This must be "Old Age coming on ;) ;) ;) ;) Couldn't sleep as usual, thinking of Jake and his family loss. I know we are all praying for the family. God bless all. Vic Wallace
