Alright time to tell the ignorant folks why this is a good move...

Also! Be sure to vote YES on the Sports page poll. Perception matters!

Anyone care to explain why playing in the Lysol Torlet Bowl is better than playing for a Division I National Championship? 'Cause I still don't see it....

“Our official statement is we are always looking to improve our athletic program," Wanless said.
Sac State would have to upgrade to 20 sports, improve its athletic budget from $15 million to about $20 million and keep a gender-equity balance. Those seem doable, Wanless said.
Nice strategic response. Wanless didn’t show his cards, which means there could very well be something going on behind the scenes. He also didn’t immediately throw out the possible move due to associated costs.
“I try not to get overly excited about such (WAC) talk. It's a compliment to the program," Wanless said. "It's just rhetoric right now."
Translation: “Everyone is talking about is, so why can we?” I am glad that at least Sac State admin are at least entertaining the idea of a move. This is going to be interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Unless you are a fan of a team playing in either game, no one cares.

Because the Lysol Toilet Bowl brings in a hell of lot more $$$$ and eyeballs. The ratings prove it...over and over. Take off the rose colored glasses because the NCAA won't even promote its own Div. I Football Championship...that's why its relegated to ESPN 2 on a Friday night.

Every team in a lower-tier bowl (or just about every one) LOSES money going there....

And what money is made playing FCS ball? Ask any layperson on the street what FCS means and who plays in the league. 'Deer in headlights look.'

I'm on it too!

Check this out!

Kadeezy,

Nice try - great editing skills! Wish those headlines were true but many things have to happen before that's a realistic possibility.

Very creative.
