Thread on Weber's forum.

Does Boyle automatically get it even if UNC finishes 2nd or 3rd and does win the title? What if WSU or MSU wins the regular season? Could Rahe or Huse get it over Boyle?

Since 1990 4 coaches won the award without winnning the conf title. Not sure before that. There's been some co-coaches of year too it looks like.

He won't, haven't we all noticed UNC is totally ignored in anything Big Sky related, they don't want us to win, we were brought in to play the doormat role. We have to kick the door down if we want respect, awards, etc. Keep that chip on the shoulder, don't think we deserve anything.

I get that feeling from Montana but not the rest of the schools. Certainly the Idaho State and Weber State fans have been hospitable and welcoming.

You should just ignore Montana fans, they think they are superior to all of us, yes even Montana fans treat us Weber fans the same way, and we were one of the original members along with Montana, but just because they are good in football they think they are superior to everyone else, just let them live in their own little world. They dont now about life outside of Montana. Its funny how MSU fans are a completely different story, Bobcat fans are usually pretty hospitable and welcoming when you talk with them on thier forum.

Even if UNC doesnt win the conf, but finishes 2nd or maybe even 3rd I think Boyle will win the coach of the year, he has exceeded (by far) expectations here at UNC, and he deserves it, and alot of us Wildcats believe he deserves it to.

And regardless if Montana fans like it or not, your apart of this conference, and you will always be welcomed by us Wildcat fans.

I think Boyle gets the award. I think the only way WSU's Rahe can get it if its a co-coach of the yr. Worst case scenario the Bears will have 22 wins.

I have to say Weber fans have consistently been the most welcoming and hospitable in the conference. Thank you.
