Not sure why they were playing at 8 in the morning, other than to claim they played the first game of the year, but EWash beat up Texas Southern 86-62. TX Southern actually had a winning record last year and made the NCAA tourney, so maybe not a bad win for EWash and the conference. Jois with 22 and Harvey with 21. The Eags were 15-34 on 3's.

They are going to be tough shooting from the outside. Good thing we have the lowest number of 3pt attempts against us in the nation. I will take any win the Big Sky has against a D1 program. I have a feeling the Big Sky is not going to fair to well tonight.

Weber @ Utah St (-1.5)
MSU @ UCLA (-25)
Sac St @ #13 Gonzaga (-23)
NAU @ Xavier (-15.5)
SUU @ K State (-26)
ISU @ New Mexico (-19)

Conference needs a Weber win cause those other games are going to get ugly.

Weber lost by 11, MSU lost by 35, Sac lost by 46, NAU lost by 33, SUU lost by 30, and ISU lost by 24. Good hell, this conference is utterly terrible. Expect three more blowout losses tonight. UND at N Iowa, UM at Colorado St, and PSU at USC.

MSU only lost to Kentucky by 58 :yikes:

I was :ohno: when I saw this one on the schedule. You didn't mention the worst part: UK held the Bobs to 11 in the first half and 28 for the game! Not that I'd want any thing similar to that hung on Weber, it would be interesting to know how Weber would have fared against the same team about the same time in the season. Two weeks ago I would have guessed Weber wouldn't have been completely embarrassed but now I'm guessing they wouldn't have fared a whole lot better.

Just watched EWash knock off Indiana, breaking their 42 game OOC home winning streak. The Eagles are good. They've got to be the favorite to win the conference at this point. Indiana doesn't play a true OOC road game. So glad EWash punked em.

Figured you guys might like that. I don't know if we're favored to win the Sky, but we did play #22 SMU pretty close and of course just knocked off Indiana at home.

Congrats on a great win! Way to represent the conference! It's a long season and Weber will be ready.

Unbelievable Win by EWU tonight. They even lost their starting forward 5 fouls Miljkovic with 17 minutes left.

What a place to grab a road win.

Absolute favorite to take conference and they will be rewarded for this win come NCAA time if they take it.

Pretty good day for the mens basketball, in the big sky conference. The conference goes a perfect 4-0 on the day. Beating teams from the Mountain West, Ohio Valley and Big Ten Conferences, and Colorado Christian :? :? .. Lets hope the conference as whole can continue to improve.

After the 3 D1 wins last night, the conference is 10-25 in D1 games. They are 5-1 at home, though. Much of why the conference is usually so bad OOC is they play so many road games. As we all know, it's very difficult to schedule home D1 games. And I don't see anything changing unless the NCAA issues some sort of mandate, which is never going to happen. Take for example Indiana. After EWU beat them I looked at their schedule and they do not play a single OOC road game this season. They play 10 home games and 2 neutral site games. And I'd imagine it's about the same for all Power 5 conference teams. What a joke.

One of the commenters on the broadcast last nite said there should be automatic home and home OOC scheduling to even things out. That was the first time I heard on a national broadcast anyone saying anything close to that.

I was beginning to think that Montana state was the worst team in the conference. They took Texas Arlington to the wood shed last night and dropped 104 points on them including 18 three point shots.

Not a bad night for the Sky. NAU, UNCO, and State all got wins. Only blemish was a 90-53 set back by UND to the mighty Utes. Utah is good but they keeping playing really bad teams. We all know that UND is rebuilding. They don't really have any bigs and the one that might be good for them can't play till the semester ends. I hate how Big 5 schools are afraid to leave their home courts and usually end up playing a soft schedule. What really baffles me is that th NCAA rewards them at the end of the season. Total crime! An OOC schedule should have as many road games as home games. A team shouldn't be allowed to sit on their home floor for two months and not be able to penalized for it at the end of the season. Absolutely ridiculous that the NCAA allows this sort of garbage to continue. Utah has become the most corruptable and culpable violators of this practice. Shame on the Utes and the rest of the Big 5. Until th NCAA makes a change and makes the playing field an equal forum for all programs fairness can only be used as a punch-line for the NCAA. Greed is far more important than integrity. But, they won't because $$$ said speaks louder than fair play, sportsmanship, equality, and honesty.

And just like that the Big Sky loses 3 games tonight to the likes of Texas Pan Am, the mighty Northern Kentucky Norse and North Carolina Central Shcool of Gynecology. NAU scored a whopping 36 points in their loss. What is a Norse? Whatever it is, they left the Kibble and bits dome with a win tonight. To think that a few days ago I was saying that Idaho and NAU were in the top tier of the Big Sky. So much for all of NAU's training at altitude mojo. They played like crap at sea level.
