i think ewu and psu will eliminated next. i think both could be on sat or maybe just psu.

i think that 7th place comes down to nau or sac. the 8th place team might finish with as many wins as 7th place. unc has good games left. i think they could maybe win a couple and be head of 7th place.

nau or sac? anyone agree? i hate to see sac not make it since they always stuggle.

i believe the magic number to get in is 8 wins and 9 wins guarantees post season. 11 wins is the magic number to clinch a post season right now.

i think if und wins at psu, und will clinch and psu will "unclinch".

1 and 2 are a toss up for now, but my predictions for 3 through 7

#1 Weber State/Montana
#2 Montana/Weber State
#3 North Dakota
#4 Montana State
#5 Northern Colorado
#6 Southern Utah
#7 Northern Arizona

Weber and Montana are in...5 other spots: UND, MSU, and SUU will all get in. NAU, SAC, and UNCO are all on the border right now. ISU, PSU, EWU are all out.

Personally, I think ISU, EWU, NAU, and UNCO will be better next year. MSU and PSU will have new coaches and UND will be the third best team in the league. SUU...hmmm...I think they will take a step back next year, but then again, Nick Robinson has proven to be a decent coach. If he can recruit maybe the birds will exceed expectations.

I was a bit surprised when MSU beat SUU in Cedar last night. I didn't know whether to be disappointed -- as I thought that SUU would be a really difficult road win for Montana on Monday night -- or exited -- as it gives Montana State some momentum going into Saturday's rivalry game with Montana.

So I decided this -- SUU is now fighting for their first-year tournament spot and beating Montana is a must on Monday -- and MSU is pumped, has momentum and is going to beat Montana on Saturday night.

So it's now two losses for UM on this road trip! :-D

Big Sky tournament is coming to Ogden!

We need 2 of the last 3 to even be in the conversation. NAU holds the tie breaker with us so they would get in over us. Those NAU, UNC, and MSU wins last night hurt us pretty badly. If we beat MSU next week we hold that tie breaker. A lot can happen with the 3 remaining games but I think it’s starting to slip away from us.

Which RPI is used, if it comes down to a tie?

it must be the cbs one because when the big sky mentioned our rpi last time it was the exact same numbers that cbs showed.

ya its too bad. since nau swept sac, sac now needs to beat isu no matter what, then beat griz or bobs on the road. :shocking:

There is only one RPI. The NCAA releases it weekly, but some other sites such as CBS try to calculate it and update it daily.

thanks for the rpi explanation. here is today from the big sky:

@jon_kasper #BigSkyMBB: Friday RPI update. Weber State 97. Montana 105

Looks to me like 4 through 8 are up in the air. UND seems to have locked up 3rd with two games remaining. SUU could lose it all, if they don't beat UM at home, and end up in 8th. Sac has no room for error and has the hardest road to 7th. MSU is looking good for 4th, If they can beat UM.

Much of this won't be decided until the last game. It's kind of interesting!

NAU also has a difficult road to the tournement. Just like Sac, their backs are against the wall. :twocents:
