Blaise Threatt in Transfer Portal

If it's true, that is great news for Blaize. He has graduated, has hired an agency, and was planning his pro career anyway. He may actually make more money transferring to a P4 proram than going over seas to start his pro career. I couldn't be happier for him. He has worked very hard for the opportunities he will be getting.
 
How? Dude has played 5 years of NCAA college basketball (DII/DI all count). Love Blaise, but the insanity infecting college athletics has to end. The CLOCK must be enforced. He has no eligibility.

The word from his agent is that, although he played 17 games in 20/21, he was injured for part of that shortened season and they are granting another year. It doesn't make sense to me either, but it is a windfall for Blaize. I hope he gets a big payday. I think he will.

BTW, Dallin Hall just entered the portal. I would love to see him in purple, if we have the NIL to attract him. He could be a game cchanger for us.

Wasn't there only 17 games that season? hahaha Well, okay. Good for him. I hope he gets a nice payday too. Also, it will give him a chance to play at a higher level and showcase his skills. As for Hall, it would be incredible to get him. From what I understand, Duft does have a good relationship with him.

We nearly got him the first time around. I'm not sure if it was Randy's track record with RMs or just the allure of BYU to a local star. Anyway, I do think that Eric has a good relationship with him and his family. He would be a big star with us and really stand out. At BYU he was kind of an afterthought. They have a bunch of 4 and 5 star guys who get the lime light. He still did a great job for them.
 
Dallin Hall is not coming to Weber State 😂 Hall has played way too well over his time at BYU to drop down to the big sky conference. **IF** he drops at all it will be to a mountain west school, possibly Utah State
 
This NIL and transfer portal stuff has worn me down. I can’t even stomach FBS anymore…it’s such a dog and pony show. Honestly ESPN and their personalities are also annoying. It’s ridiculous you have teenagers getting paid to play sports but equally frustrating to see businesses trying to capitalize off it. Now conferences don’t make any sense location wise and your market size is what determines your University’s placement.

I honestly just follow FCS football and local universities for basketball…the trickle down effect has killed bigger states and given an advantage to the Dakota schools and Montana where the top level is FCS. Of course it is only compounded by the ineptitude of our AD, coaches, and University Administration…which currently have me not even wanting to buy a ticket and am about to the point of not even watching on TV. They have turned Weber State into Ennui-ber State.

No sour grapes on Threatt…just perplexed he can still play and just disillusioned by the whole state of NCAA athletics.
