To be honest...I think we are going to be fine at QB no matter what....We have Herd, Edwards, and Kauf at receiver, any QB is going to love having those 3 to throw to. I can just see the play calls now...Herd go deep, Nick go deep, Kauf go deep, whoever has single coverage, the ball is coming to you. I think we will be just fine at the QB position.

As long as we can have a running game early in the season, I'd agree here. In 2010 we were lucky enough to have Jones so that took pressure off Mitchell in the early season as he was still adjusting to EWU.

Great point, and I think this is going to be the key. Whoever ends up at the #1 is either going to have minimal game experience, or is going to be adjusting to the offense early on. I am looking for us to run the ball more this year. A lot more. As great as Mitchell was last year, he was a Senior Qb coming off of an MVP performance in the NC game and had all the confidence in the world in himself, his teammates, and the system. As much as I like the guys we have, chances are we won't get that kind of productivity from our Qb, at least early on, in 2012. There absolutely has to be a focus on running the ball, because we won't win many games trying to throw the ball 60-70 times this season. Good news is I like the guys we've brought in on the offensive line the past couple years. Griffin and Boule could make an impact early on depending on how things look in fall camp. The other good news is we have some young and very capable backs that will get the job done.

If Adams won the starting job I wonder if Beau might consider putting in some spread option type plays given his ability to run. As wide open and successful as our offense is, it seems like we have relied less on misdirection, confusion, and trick plays than other teams are currently doing or than we did back when Beau was the OC. Not complaining and I just might not be seeing it.

We ran a lot of misdirection with TJ, last year not a lot....mostly screens and stuff. The only trick plays I can remember in recent history is the WR pass from Herd against ISU in 2010.

As far as Adams goes, I think he is athletic enough to run some option-spread stuff. There's some videos from last year with him running the scout team doing some option read. He's very moble....more interested in whathis arm looks like. Same with Vitto, just haven't seen enough of any of these guys to guage anything yet.

Looks like KP is in.

Also, just an FYI for all of us - just read something which mentions that fans/boosters are not allowed to "follow" or engage with perspective players via social media until they have committed. Kinda makes sense, but I don't think a lot of people know this. Just FYI.

Does that rule apply to transfers or only recruits?

I can't was for summer workouts! RT @Amh140TL: @KPadron2 Go Eags! Can't wait for the season to start!

I agree Marc. QB was the big ? this offseason. Could we have found a better answer than Padron? I don't think so. He has the size, ability, and experience to make a huge impact in the Big Sky with the weapons we already have. Sure, he hasn't taken a snap yet. But who on our roster has really? Welcome aboard KP!

Some good clips for those who hadn't seen him play. It looks like he has a very quick release and plenty of power to stretch the field. Like you said 93, nobody's really had a snap yet so it'll be great to have an experienced guy in the mix; especially one who threw for almost 4000 yards as a sophomore. Does anybody know if he'll be up for spring football? That's going to be a huge opportunity right there.

As for spring ball... no, he's not going to be up here. Finishing up classes and rehabbing I believe, and he'll be here all summer.
