Bring Back Troy

If he wanted it, there's no way this job shouldn't have been Troy's. There's no comparison between him and Carter. I know we don't know all the behind the scenes, but I don't remember any race stuff being an issue when Marion was hired - because dude was legit, regardless of how the season turned out.

I think it's fair to question the reasoning behind this selection. I hope I'm wrong, but we needed a CEO, someone with at least coordinator experience - we got neither. I'm worried we just hired a "rah-rah" vibes guy at the program's most vulnerable point ever.

Adding Angus is a huge get, and like OSH has said, we need to see how the staff fills out. As someone who was super pumped at this time last year and donated to the stadium project (whatever that is/was), and bought 8 season tickets instead of four - I want to be shown progress over patience at this point.

People who have to constantly tell everyone how important they are and have to put other people down have negative psychological terms named after them.
I never said I was important…I just stated that I provided actual, reliable information not unfounded bullshit opinions with an over-inflated opinion of their worth.

I had an epiphany, if Zo is the coach, I will definitely be attending the MC Hammer concert after the game. In fact , MC Hammer needs to be the on field hype man. And let him coach the dance and cheer teams.Hammer

Agreed there is no comparison, but the baggage Troy would have brought with the staff abuse allegations and the ESPN lawsuit gave Dr. Wood the cover to go in a different direction.

My problem is that any reasonable person who read the Stanford article comes away thinking that the whole situation was an obvious nothingburger and an attempt to create the easiest path for Andrew Luck to pick his own guy.

Like, the accusations, even if founded are so Stanfordy it made me want to puke. LOL

If I was a Sac State person, I think I would have preferred proven winner Troy Taylor over the Mc Hammer backup dancer guy. Oh well.

How's that schedule for next season coming along? Think I heard there are quite a few open games still.. Any chance Cal Poly gets invited over and paid like 250K to win at Hornet stadium? That's like 2.5 8 minute Little Yachty concerts. How much are you guys paying visiting teams next season?

I am shocked that you have time to worry about Sac State. Seems like you spend a shocking amount of energy on the Cal Poly page focused on what color uniforms your team is going to wear. I find it interesting your objection to post game concerts given the near riot that ensued on your campus this year for St. Fratty's.

It obviously served as cover to fire him as the AD was fired too. Clearly the powers that be at Stanford wanted a new regime. Nonetheless, as I said on the thread about Troy getting fired, I've heard stories (3rd and 4th hand) about Troy treating some folks pretty crappy while here. Looking at the decision to not bring back Troy without considering the baggage that would have come with him isn't laying out all the considerations going into the decision.
