EWU will have a 1000 yard rusher this year?

Not!, Sell!! False!!
We have several porential 1000 yd rushers but with 2 or 3 good backs sharing the duties on a passing team none will reach the magic 1000 yard number.

Eastern will have 2- 1000 yd and 2- 500 yard receivers.

Buy that. I think Kauf is gonna be real determined to have a great year after missing most of last, and Nick is already catching with Padron. Not as confident about two 500 yards receivers in addition to two 1000 yard guys, but definitely on two 1000 yard guys in Edwards and Kaufman.

Buy or Sell: If we beat MSU, we win the conference outright.

Sell. We both have two conference losses and SHARE in the title.

Buy or sell: Andru Pulu will be a first team all-american at the end of the season.

Sell. I could see it happening, buy I think if we have an all-American on the defensive line it'll be one of the ends...Ena, or Larry.

Buy or sell: The Big Sky Champ will have two losses in conference games.

Sell. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, but I really see EWU going 7-1 in conference this season. I think MSU might be down a little bit from last year so I see EWU having a good chance to pick up victories in Bozeman or on the road agains SUU. ;)

Buy or sell: EWU has another undefeated season on the red turf?

Buy: EWU will have another undefeated season on the red turf with wins over Montana, North Dakota, Sac State, Cal Poly, and UC Davis.

Buy or sell: EWU will host at least two home playoff games?

Did the playoff format and number of teams change this year or was that just speculation?

Still 20, but will likely go up to 24 next year. 1 more auto, 3 more at large.

I'll sell that. I see us having our first game at home, then going on the road.

Buy or sell: Padron throws a 3/1 TD/INT ratio. Note: He threw 2/1 at SMU.

I'll buy that because our receiving corps are not only tall, have good hands, they are quick enough that YAK will lead to TD's.

BUY or Sell:
We will average over 35 points per game

Buy or sell:
We will average over 35 points per game

Sell: unless we even out our run/pass ratio a bit to keep defenses honest, it will be difficult to consistently score enough points to average out at 35.

Buy or sell:
The defense will lead the BSC in turnovers this season.

Buy. Our front seven will disrupt and force opposing QB's into some errors.

Bur our sell: Defense will hold opponents to under 22 points/game.

Do I buy because I want a great a great season next year? Or do I sell because I want Baldwin to stick around?

;) ;) ;)

Sell. I don't see that happening unless we see improvement in our TO margin from last year.

Buy or Sell: EWU breaks another regular season attendance record in 2012.

I'll buy that. Usually attendance drops after a disappointing year (6-5 was pretty damn disappointing), but I think with Padron transferring in, the videoboard, and Montana at home, we should be very close to or exceed last year's numbers. Maybe having a new opponent come into Roos will help as well (UND).

Buy or sell: Either Cody McCarthy or Zach Johnson plays the entire season, and leads the team in tackles.

Don't know the rules or if there are any buy I would like to sell the attendance challenge, well that depends if you are talking about average per game or total. Because we have 5 home games this season the total attendance number is a gimme, we will break that but to increase the average attendance will be a challenge. Montana will help... a lot, but UC Davis in November will be pretty tough. We have scheduling conflicts on the Montana weekend, no problem, and the Davis weekend... problem. WSU plays UCLA at home that weekend.
How much "cross over" of fans do you think we have between WSU and us?

Sell: Much as I'd like to believe that Zach will stay healthy all season, history doesn't support that prediction (he's got the heart and will to make it happen, but the body may just not support it). McCarthy showed promise in the 7 games that he played and, will no doubt be improved by having a year of conditioning and spring ball, it's interesting to note that the top 3 in tackles this past season played in every game but didn't start in all of them. (Hamlin, GP-GS 11-9, 85 tackles; Minnerly, 11-8, 77 and G. Williams, 11-5, 61). Given that 2 of the 3 of those top tacklers were LBs who are sharing time with the rest of the LB corps (and that doesn't even factor in the likes of veteran LBs like Washburn or Haehl), McCarthy may well be part of that system. Not a bad dilemma to have that many quality LBs.

In the spring scrimmages I thought Grant Williams looked the best of all the linebackers. Linebacking should have lots of depth on this team if we can luck out on injuries.
