BYU

I don't hate BYU, but I sure hate their obnoxious fans!! Someone threw a spoon at my buddy because he stood up and cheered when Bamforth hit that 3. How disrespectful is that in another team's stadium? What, the home fans can't cheer for the home team?

Good ole Coug fans, I hate to say it, but Utah fans are the only other school in the state that has decent fans.

I've had pretty bad experiances with fans from USU,BYU,SUU and UVU  But not Utah............go figure

I hated the fact that that one ref was there, the one who was at the last 2 conf tourneys the one who did nothing but call fouls on Weber, I hate seeing his face in the Dee.:

Oh no, was there an Eric Curry sighting at the Dee tonight?

A blue cougar would never do such a thing. Where I sat I was surrounded by blue cougars except for the people that were with me. All the fans behavior was fine.

We should have won that game. If the right decisions would have been made in the last few minute we could have. I am very proud we never rolled over and took it. I can only imagine what the game would have been like with Lillard, I believe we would have won. But him just being in the game would have changed it so much so I guess we will never know. Our guys fought, Bamforth stepped up and our bigs did a good job.

little Jimmy was very unimpressive. This was my first time watching him play. All I have heard is how good he is. And ya he is good but not that good. His all around game is weak. He can shoot thats for sure, but he couldnt hit anything that he wasnt set for. He never hit a shot in which he was off balance, and he couldnt beat us off the dribble. Not a great distributor and a mediocre defender. I was thinking I would be watching a NBA talant on the floor with how much he gets praised, he is not that.

My take on the game:

1. Weber was a much better TEAM last night, meaning they played better together on offense and defense without Dame. Much better ball movement, motion, help defense, etc. Having Dame out caused them to play better team ball. I would much rather have him healthy and in the game, but this team will still be very good without him.
2. Weber had too many turnovers which would have been reduced by having Dame in the game (a legitimate NBA point guard prospect would not have turned the ball over as much as younger, inexperienced guys thrown into the game without a lot of preparation).
3. The crowd was good - there were a few zoobie fans, but they were not that loud and for the most part behaved themselves. Weber fans were pretty good towards the end when things tightened up (still need Joker and the Thief to get the crowd going).
4. We have some seriously talented young players who will be great in the years to come. Bamforth, Porter, Tresnack, and Fulton will lead Weber to many Big Sky championships and NCAA tournaments. If Dame gets a medical redshirt, imagine how good this team will be next year and the year after ...
5. James F. was good, but I must say I was not too impressed. He could hit a long 3 ball, but that was about it. The talk of him going to the NBA makes me laugh - can you say Travis Hansen all over again? The best player in the building had a broken foot.
6. The music sucked (what else is new?) I did like it when they played California Gurls - and in case you missed it, it was a not so subtle jab at the zoobies (see this version of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84u5k4bboU4

I am optimistic about this team - they will win many games in the Big Sky. Montana seems to be a legit team, but I think this Weber team will surprise people. Lots of great young players with a ton of potential and the big men seem to have improved quite a bit since the first of the season.

Weber had waaaaaaaay to many TO's last night. It seemed like whenever Weber had a chance of taking over the game there was a TO or an inopportune call (with the three stoges, I was expecting that). What was with all of the travel calls on Weber? The best one was the last one...No matter, Fulton should have gone up and gotten fouled on that play. Did everyone notice that it was Buzz Cut who made the call? How can he still have a job??

Buzz cut was the ref I was talking about, he was the one smiling as the Weber fans were booing him in the last 2 BSC tourneys.
