Last time the Cats and Rams met CSU beat Weber 31-0, That wont happen this weekend, I believe the Cats will keep it close, should have beaten Wyoming, but cant look back, we must look forward, win or lose I support my Wildcats.

I think you are right, Wildcat! This game should be winnable if we do not repeat the mistakes we made against Wyoming. We have a chance if we demonstrate the offensive brilliance of which we are capable and stay ahead instead of gettinh behind.

The Rams offense will be even tougher than Wyoming. Our linebackers will have to figure out how to stay more organized, read offenses better, and stop the run. If our offense doesn't make the mistakes, that should give the defense enough breathing room to get 'er done!

I think this is going to be a good test; Higgins will bounce back, don't worry. if you're a QB, WR, or a kicker, you have to have a very short memory when it comes to negatives...one snap and clear.

the defense did a great job against wyoming, the goal line stand was very impressive. the line is a young unit that is coming along very, very quickly. the LB's need to execute quicker, flashes of brilliance here and there, but we need consistency across the board.

look for Bo Bolen to get more reps, exciting runner and very quick. Smith looked a 1/2 step slower than last year, and we'll have to create opportunities for him to break loose.

GO WILDCATS!!!!

Sure wish The Mtn. would show this game. You would think that they would considering that they are only showing one game on Saturday (Tulsa @ New Mexico, beginning @ 6 PM), and that The Mtn. is headquartered in Denver (a short drive from Ft Collins). What's the point of having your own TV network if that network only shows one live game a week? Also, #2 Texas is at Wyoming and is not on TV. Think the Mtn. would jump at the chance at showing this game.

I stand corrected. The Wyoming game is on Versus. Maybe The Mtn. didn't want to compete with this game by showing the Weber game.

Good points, except that QBs WRs and kickers must all be able to learn from their mistakes and THEN forget them - especially quarterbacks!

I am not sure how to have it both ways, but there it is!

I feel good about this game for a few reasons.

1-The hype and excitement isn't there like it was last week. A lot of people were picking Weber, and even expecting Weber, to beat Wyo. That's a lot of pressure that won't be there this week. The team will be much more relaxed.

2-1st games are usually sloppy and I think Cam and the boys will be much sharper on offense this week (Cam learned a lot last week and won't try to force things this week). Also, there will be fewer penalties and mistakes.

3-Colorado State's defense isn't as good as Wyoming's, especially the D line. This will allow the run game to get better established. Cats were too pass oriented against Wyo, due to the pokes front shutting down the run.

4-Weber's defense, which played good against Wyo, will only improve and will have another solid game (Although I think stopping the run will be key, as Wyo ran the ball well and Colorado St has better backs).

5-Weber finished last week strong and that should carry over to start the ballgame.

Anyway, just an armchair quarterback's opinion. GO CAT!

Why are you all complaining about the Mtn channel? It is showing the Weber v Colorado St. game at 8 am. Before you all get too excited, the game they are showing is the 2006 game. Why would the Mtn want to show a game in the current year when they can show one that is 3 years old??

Nice analysis. ;)

Why show a new game when you could just show an old one over and over again. That game has been on all week on the Mtn. Just like the Utah State game, it was been on non stop since it actually happened.

The Mtn didn't even show a game last Saturday. They just showed the USU game all day long.

The Rams victory over Colorado isn't looking all that impressive, considering that the Buffs are now taking a beating from Toledo.

i hear you, Colorado is getting pounded, and the QB just took a head shot going into the endzone, he is fuzzier than fuzzy right now.....should have been a penalty and ejection for #42 on Toledo.....head to head shot that was scary to watch even on tv.

GO WILDCATS!!!!

Texas/Wyo was on Versus

oh turnovers.......I'm going to have to find a way to get to these road games if KLO keeps using Brad Larsen. God bless him......but he interupts, argues, and grunts all game long.

Amen! It was hard to listen to. Please get that guy off the air.

brad larsen continued to say cameron didn't get the 4th down conversion while insisting the ball will be spotted where his knee went down which isn't the case. He even said, "well I guess it's division 1-aa against bcs, and thats what you would expect, the game is over." While the officials were reviewing the play. colorado state is not a "bcs" team and we are not "1-aa" and the game was not over!!

On a lighter note, after we all shed the nessasary tears over the loss, we must realize that the 2009 team is incredible and capable of anything! let's be happy about saturday's performance! The offense came through when nessasary (except you know when), the defense absolutely A-F@&king rived in the second half by shutting down the Rams!! I am excited to see if we can win the sky, then host and win 1 or 2 playoff games at Stewart Stadium!!

Let's go weber!! lets all give this team the welcome they have worked so hard for this saturday against ISU!! Tell your friends and neighbors; let's sell the place out!!
