Coach Alundis Brice Has a Sour Past

I'm sure they knew what they were getting into with him. Deserves a second chance IMO.Last edited by on 2007-05-18, 14:30; edited 1 time in total

I think he was hired with PSU knowing his past indiscretions. If he screws up again, fire him. But everybody deserves a second chance.

The beauty of growth is recognizing one's challenges, learning from them and taking that new information into better surroundings. I for one say "right on"; he's doing some great stuff with the secondary, brings his positive and challenging situations to the table openly, and uses them as examples to impressionable young men. I'm comfortable with who he is, what he has done, how he is giving back and that's what matters most.

what happened to cris dishman? did we wind up signing him as our DC? sorry, i missed the past posts about who filled out our coaching staff...

What i heard from Hawaii, JG didn't coach much over there and they are VERY please he is gone. Davis just advised, didn't coach much either. Emberton, April, Smith were administrative GA's, not coaching GA's at there previous schools.

you may be right ilovedaviks, however, whatever glanville did it worked because the hawaii defense did improve when he was DC....im under the impression that after mouse and JG retire, it will pave the way for PSU to hire June Jones as our next head coach and bring him back to the mainland

I don't think JJ will ever come here, he has stated UH is his last stop....at the college level.....

JG must have done something over there with the turnaround in the defense. 93rd in the country in total defense seem low, but considering that they play in the WAC and had to play against two top 10 offensive units, that seems like he got a lot done in two years.

Time and performance will tell on the difference that JG makes on the defensive side of the ball. The change from a 4-3 to a 3-4 is huge, but JG isn't exactly picking up a defensive unit like he did in Hawaii.
