Coach Baldwin and "The Hit"

Kriefels suspended. Good.

So I guess the reasoning is that he received the automatic first half of the the following game for the targeting ejection (since it occurred in the second half of the game) and then the school imposed the second half of the game suspension for the taunting? Seems harsh but probably plays well on the national stage that EWU finds itself on...

As an aside, when UO comes after Cooper K. (and they will), I hope he tells them to piss up a rope.

Everyone who is second guessing the call and suspension should consider the bigger picture. If Baldwin does not come down sternly on the offender others may get sucked into a similar situation in the future. Taunting the crowd is a big deal! Counter productive, uncalled for, unnecessary, just stupid!! This time it did not affect the outcome of the game but such infractions could in the future. So it is not so much about this incident but a learning lesson so it does not happen again.
I would not see any benefit in Cooper transferring to a Pac 12 school, he would better served to declare for the NFL if he decides not to finish out his career at Eastern.

Considering his facebook post/instagram of the photo stiff-arming the Oregon DB on his way to a TD along with "Eagle born, Eagle bred, and when I die, an eagle dead. ‪#‎GoEags‬" ... I think it would be a safe bet.

Then again, I didn't think there was a chance that Adams would transfer when the rumors first started going around. :ohno:

I wouldn't go that far. See Brandon Kaufman.
