Losing Donnel hurts. But. He’s going to land on his feet and do big things.

No worries, it’s a very dynamic time, you probably were right that moment and then it changedI apologize for posting that Marion was out of the drill. My information came from what I considered to be a reliable source in the athletic department. I wasn’t guessing but I was wrong to post it.
Glad to see Dr. Wood and Orr close out the deal. Big hire and I'm glad it didn't fall through. Sounds like Richardson and Fresques are retained. I wonder if this is genuine desire to keep them on board or contract related.
I was thinking the same thing Donnel P^^This one surprises me. I thought he might be retained. But if Coach Marion believes he can do better, I understand.
Football scoop….Bobby F not sure what he’s going to do other than QB Coach?
Any thoughts on who would be DC? I’d think that would be one of the first role. All they’ve done is hiring one DL coach and let go of the rest. Any chance Tim Skipper is the DC, just waiting on completion of the Fresno State bowl game? It’ll be hard to keep Skipper with they new Fresno St HC (both defensive guys)
Football scoop….
Sacramento State (FCS - CA): Per source, UNLV offensive analyst / quarterbacks coach Ken Merchant - who served as the teams play caller in last week’s LA bowl win - will be headed to Sac State with Brennan Marion as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Not sure Fresques role.
That would be huge if we could get Coach Skipper. We Need to pay attention to these DC and OC roles because if Marion gets us a natty in next two years and leaves, one of these coordinators will be next in line for HC hereI'm predicting Skipper. Calling it now
Coach Marion has had a lot of stops giving him the ability to see various styles. Which is good to have.Assuming to be true, this tells me a little bit about Coach Marion. It seems that most former OC’s turned head coaches tend to begin their careers as their own OC calling plays. Same often applies to former DC’s.
If Marion truly delegates those responsibilities to another, not just in title but in practice, that demonstrates a level of wisdom and humility not always found in first timers.
