After considerable pressure from boosters and fans, Coach Collins has announced that he is resigning as Head Coach for the University of Northern Colorado.

Collins stated,

After deep reflection and soul searching I am announcing my resignation as the University of Northern Colorado Head Football Coach. I have come to the realization that I am not qualified to lead this group of quality young men and that I am not qualified to be a head football coach at any level. I hope that my stepping down will allow the University to pursue a legitimate head coach that will be able to lead this program in the right direction. Thank you.

put some time and thought into a cruel and very effective April Fools joke. We have experienced a ton of different emotions the past few years.
