Washed that bad taste of the BYU loss right out of my mouth...can discussion move on to Colorado St.? What kind of team does Larry Eustachy have this year? Preview anyone (?) on Wildcat's chances to beat a Mtn. West team (and then there's the Aggies up next)...the Big Sky needs some wins vs.!!

CSU plays at Gonzaga tonight at 7pm, game is on ESPN-U if you can get it.
I believe there were 4 seniors that graduated last year, so may be an adjustment year. Also, their point guard Jesse Carr who was a 6th year senior and was expected to start was injured and is out.

THis will be a good on the road OOC test for the Cats.

larry has been very good everywhere he has coached. i think he was one conf titles at each school or close to it. it should be a tough road test since any road win is not easy to get. it would be a great win. we play 3 mwc teams and it would be so awesome to go 3-0 since 2 are at home.

i will tune in tonight to the csu/zags game. i think zags are ranked top 15.

I will be interested to see their front court. It was very clear from Friday that our primary objective is to work it inside first and then go outside. I think that is a good plan, but we need Berry to figure out a way to start faster.

Gotta get Richardson into the game too. Once he hits a couple of shots, I'm thinking he will be fine. He just needs to get into a good rhythm and he will be the Jordan we all know. :thumb:

I think JRich played out of position Friday, hence the forced shots. Why not use him as a spark guy on that second unit and have him play point.

oh hell no farmer was a joke. :tothehand:

my wife said she worked at blockbuster when she went to usu and larry's wife would always come in renting ninja turtles vhs tapes for her twin sons. her name was stacey eustachy. lol. i think they might have got divorced due to his controversial partying with students at one of the schools he coached at after usu. i think iowa st. :bad:

talhad's wife also has a rhyming name....galrad. :ohno:

My dad took me out of school so I could attend the coaches luncheon at the Raddison after Larry Farmer won all of those non league games and was given the Mercedes. I can remember thinking we had the best coach in basketball because he came from UCLA and played for John Wooden.

Can't remember the year, but I'm sure Weber won a tournament at CSU. Coach should pull that trophy/plaque out for a phycological warmup. They can't wait 5-10 minutes into a road game for a single player to start hitting some shots. I see this as winnable as byu, even more so, as Weber lost it every bit as much as the zoobs won it. I hope they step on the court ready to compete.

CSU looked out of sorts last night. Most of their team are transfers or new to the program. Larry has his work cut out for himself this year. Still, even though the Rams were beat down pretty bad last night, the Cats can't overlook them.

This CSU team is a shell of the team that won 26 games last season, including a win in the NCAA tournament. They lost all five starters, their top five scorers, and 81% of their total team scoring. They were picked to finish 6th in the MWC. On paper, this is a game Weber should win.

FYI, you can stream the CSU-Weber game on Mntn West Tv internet.

Hope it works. I tried it out on a pre-season game to see if you had to register ala BSTV, but it seems you just open the game and watch.

Go Wildcats!

Ken Pomeroy has CSU winning by 1 point, which is down from earlier prediction. THe question is how the Rams will adjust after the Gonzaga game, which was kind of hard to watch...

CSU is not that good. Larry might be a great coach, but they are short on talent. They lost their starting 5 from last year and are in a bit of a rebuilding mode. This is a must win game for the Wildcats and one that they should win!

Weber has the advantage in the front and back court and when the Rams lost by 32 to Gonzaga, the score actually could have been worse. I hate to be a homer, but there's trouble in paradise if the cats lose this one.

CSU is not that good......

Game Day, Cat's need to come out of the gates early and take command of the game. It's too hard to play catch up in someone else's arena.
