these new rules are ruining college hoops. harder to play D and too much stoppage time. its becoming boring to watch.

I agree, refs are getting way too much power in college sports, it's the same in football, whatever happened to letting the kids play?

By the way we are looking horrible right now

this reminds me of our last ever game in salt lake. it was painful to watch the teams stand around shooting free throws. i htink utah attempted 45-50. that game must have been 3+ hours. we will see that easily in this game. new ncca hoops is not a sport i am going to like. this could never happen in the nba.

i hope we can get back in this an win but its too boring to watch. i dont think i can watch the 2nd half. i dont know if i would want to watch even if we had a lead. hopefully we can see these rules go away.

take away our turnovers and the score is probably even.

we have 15 fouls at the half.

last yr we had 1 ooc game with more than 21 fouls in an entire game, in logan we had 27 (season high).

we probably averaged less than 20 fouls per game last year.

I know we will never win in Provo, so I never worried about that loss. But we aren't a good team right now. Horrible defense on and off the ball and no intensity. I'm getting ready for the CIT again.

This flex zone defense we are playing is awful. We are getting backdoored like crazy. I wonder if all of the fouls are leading to lax defense.

Disappointing play against a weak(?) MWC team...looks like the Wildcats had better practice hard in the next 10 days to even be competitive against the Aggies.

I have tried to drink the stay positive Kool Aid after our poor showing in the exhibition and BYU games, but we really need to improve our defense. I watched this CSU team struggle to get the ball in the hoop against Gonzaga.

Well this has been a crappy WSU weekend, soccer girls smoked by BYU, volleyball team punked by Suck St, griz dismantle cats on the gridiron, girls b-ball smoked, and CSU stomps us, sigh.

WSU 0 Everyone else 5

Agreed.

I agree in the sense of watching this game but would completely disagree when watching UK/MSU and Kansas/Duke a few days ago-- some of the most entertaining bball I've watched in some time. So was the Weber game reffed according to the new rules and the others not or were the better players able to play within the rules (which could include CSU to a degree)? I certainly didn't enjoy the parade to the free throw line but Weber's D was near non-existent much of the game and can't blame the ref's for the effort/execution. I didn't check points-in-the-paint but I would assume CSU was of the chart in that statistic.

Agreed, and the most disappointing one was the one least expected.

This level of play= 20+ pont loss to Utah State. Time to reset expectations.

More on the plus side of 20 with the play on the floor today. I see plenty of talent but not "ready for prime-time" talent at this point. It's disheartening when Weber (more times than not) isn't ready or isn't talented enough to compete in-state and out-of-conference. I'm disappointed with the ugly offense today but scared of what a liability the horrid defense will become if unchanged.

This new zone defense that has been implemented is not good. We were getting picked a part. I think our guys started to believe the hype of how good they are. The effort was lack luster tonight. Our guys weren't rotating. It looks like we have a true freshman leading this team. Berry and Tres need to step up and lead this team. Why does fulton feel like he needs to force 3's when he is on the court? If I was to re-evaluate the Big Sky I would put Weber at 4 or 5.

With Weber having so many freshmen in the games I think it's going to take more than 2-3 games to get things figured out. By March this could be an awesome team but they have a long way to go. I agree the 3 seniors need to lead this team, Richardson/Berry needs to find their stroke from the 3 pt line to open things up for Tres (how's his ankle).
