No Tal, read the entire thread. They are getting Dallas and Braxton confused. Zack isn’t going anywhere. That board is getting all their information from our board, in regards to speculation with who’s transferring out.

I'm not even worth half that amount. :lol:SWeberCat02 said:talhadfoursteals said:But, I've also heard that Randy might be getting a coach who can coach bigs for free.
Oldrunner?
If that is all true, I would be sad to see him go. I'm always saddened by any of them transferring out. However, what I really want to see is all of our guys being happy, getting an education, and preparing themselves for productive and happy lives. I feel that they are all great kids. Randy doesn't bring them in if they are not. It would also mean that we will be two guards shy of what we would want in order to have the depth needed to survive injuries and have any kind of proper rotation.DeeScott said:oldrunner said:The list is up over 300 now, and growing rapidly.
And Riley Court will be on the list soon. Riley is not much of a social media guy (not even on Twitter), so we won't hear it from him, and I don't know why our athletic department won't release it, but Court has had his transfer papers for at least two weeks now, if not longer. Lots of AAU, high school, and college coaches across the state, and they tell me it isn't a secret and it's a done deal.
talhadfoursteals said:Had a chance to discuss Court with a friend, who is kinda in the know, and he agrees with Dee. Chances are very high that Riley intends to leave. Randy is away from the university right now, and so that is probably why the university hasn't released him yet. Waiting for the head coach to come back. But, if the kid has made up his mind, then it is virtually a done deal. I dont' think there is much Randy can do to change his mind. It is like Cannon part II. Randy wanted McKay to stay, but McKay had already decided to leave. Which means another season with 6 freshmen joining the program. How does Randy expect his team to develop when he is adding 6 new freshmen every freaking year?

I totally agree! It is a fact that very few programs can play more than 8 or 9 guys per season, which means other guys at the end of the bench who are working their butts off in practice are at some level of frustration with wondering what their future holds. It is a rare coach who can keep the guys on the end of the bench happy with their role, giving them some degree of hope that their day on the court may come soon. Or not. And if it's "not," then why would they stay? Lots of reasons for transfers, just hope the kids are getting treated right for all the effort they've put into the program.

In the past, kids understood their role far better. I love to bring up Chris Woods. He was a guy who played sparingly as a freshmen, a little more as a sophomore, but by the time he became a senior, he was an all conference kid. Montana has had a couple of kids like that in the past decade, Jordan Gregory and Ward (can't remember his first name). Both we not good as freshmen, and neither offered much to the team, but by they time they graduated, four years later, they both ended up being all conference kids.
Have to add this though...Court is part of DI program now. He isn't going to get a DI offer. His best chance is to go to a JC, red shirt, and then play his sophomore season a year from now. If he were to stay this year, I would have possibly recommended a red shirt on his part. But that is me.

I just love knowing there are people out there that actually give a damn about Weber State Sports and that want to see improvement and progress. Such potential and we are driving for it to be realized.
So, in regard to this thread. Did anyone else notice that the bleeding of players at NAU is happening again? Top two players are leaving Murphy's squad. Looks like he will be recruiting an entire new team again. I don't understand why the Jacks are continuing with him as HC.

thanks for getting this thread back on track. until this point, I kept thinking why the f did I come out of forum retirement to read the dumbest thread ever!
I saw that yesterday. He is a good pick up for the Jacks. You are right, there is no way but up. I'm not sure if he will be able to play this year, but he surely will be an impact player for the Jacks. He is on his third school, so there are some questions about him that need to be answered. However, there is no question that he has D1 talent.MT Jack said:Well.....it's something. There's no direction for the Jacks but upwards after the past two train wrecks of a season.
