The Trib did a little piece on Coach Daniel. He is a UNC Alum, and was the D coord for the NFL Europe Hambrug Sea Devils. He only has a 3 month contract with UNC

He might very well be the de facto coordinator. If Downing is smart he'll give him a lot of input, almost like an on staff consultant so to speak.

yeah, I think that was sort of the idea. Might as well soak up the wisdom while he's here. I am not sure he would want to come back to college level at that age. Sounds like he hates all the rules since he's been away.
I say give Deti a couple years. He didn't have much to work with last year and Downing seems to be recruiting more speed compared to the Old man.

I agree beardown...while deti still has a lot of work to do, he still needs some players that can get the job done at this level..so give them all a little time to get some actual DI recruits in here
