Probably gonna be our toughest OOC game all year, and it's a good one on the road at Dayton.

The Flyers have a record of 4-1, only loss was to the Pac 12 Colorado Buffaloes, thier wins are against Arkansas State, Manhattan, Auburn and Boston College by an average of 11 points, so this is gonna be a tough one for us to win.

This is the first ever meeting between Weber State and Dayton, Weber is 2-1 vs the A10 conf with 1-1 record vs Rhode Island and a 1-0 record vs St. Louis.

Wouldnt this be cool if this were a home and home....................................yeah right :wall:

Making feethrows is crucial, as well as an inside game, we need to establish an inside game, true Weber wont meet many if any teams in the Big Sky that will have better inside players than ours, but they are not playing that way right now, and we need them to step up. oh and STOP MISSING FREETHROWS.

End Rant

GO WILDCATS

This does sound like a really good game for us. Lets hope that poor FT shooting is out of our system and that was the worst we will do all year. Our rebounding has improved and our defensive intensity is at a high rate. Turnovers were much improved, as well. Win or not, you just want to see improvement from game to game, and we are seeing that. By league, we should be much better.

Two perhaps silly questions:

1. When is this game?

2. Wildcat, regarding your signature line, does that refer to November 2004?

As much as I didnt like Bush, my sig is refering to our newest re-election

I would get into details, but this isnt a politics topic :thumb:

Big win. Lot's of positives from tonight's game. Tres played very well and Cats perimeter players hit the 3s (connection between those two things?) Bolomboy shook off his poor outing up in Logan. I really liked what I saw tonight. This team will do real well in the Big Sky.
Can't wait to see them at the Dee next week.

WHOO HOO, This is a huge win, when was the last time we had a huge road win like this?

Cant wait to see these guys at home against UVU next week, lets pack the Dee and support this team.

minus conf, minus instate....how about winning at boise state in 05-06? not that boise is amazing but its none big sky non instate non big west. how about LSU, Colorado State and Wisconsin in 2002 but that was so long ago...

OOC road wins are so hard to get. this is a big win for us. long ways away from ogden and huge crowd.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am of our team and how theyfought tonight,”
said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. “We stayed together and played really
tough throughoutand had so many players step up and contribute. It’s a
huge win for us and our program in a very tough environment andit really
gives our team a lot of confidence.”

Congrats on the huge win WSU fans!!! Huge for WSU, and huge for the BSC. Well done. :thumb:

Depth won us this game.

All four of our available front court players had 4 fouls. Our starting PF only got 12 minutes, due to foul trouble. Last year, with all the injuries, we would have lost this game. We out rebounded them by 5, but had way too many turnovers. If this keeps up, we may have to open a pastry shop. :twocents:

Hats off to Tres. He got 7 rebounds, 16 points. :thumb:

I went to Logan last week and watched the Weber-USU game. Weber and USU were more or less evenly matched. Weber missed a ton of easy shots - lay ups, short jumpers, open 3's, and free throws. One of the worst shooting nights for Weber I have seen in a long time. Part of that was USU's defense, but a lot of it was just poor shooting and missing some open shots. I attributed it to rust from not playing for a week. I came away from that game uncertain about the prospects for this team.

After last night, I think this team will be very good. They play much more as a team than the past few years. It is natural to let a gifted star take over like they did the past few years with Lillard. As a result, the team play suffered a bit. This year, with no big star (at least not yet), I saw much more team play. In the long run, this will help a great deal.

I am definitely excited for the upcoming home games - UVU, UCI, and BYu (little u intentional).
Go Cats!
