4. Favorable schedule
Due to a road trip at Hawaii to start the year, Washington will play 13 games in 2014. The Huskies should be 4-0 before a home date against Stanford on Sept. 27. Road games at Washington State, Arizona and Oregon won’t be easy, but Washington has enough winnable matchups to push for 10 victories.

 We'll see about that

Someone will take that chance. More than likely at the FCS level. Same thing goes for Dorial Green-Beckham. Word is Eastern Illinois may be in line to pick him up once Mizzou releases him from school.

Washington QB Cyler Miles has been reinstated to the team, but WR Damore'ea Stringfellow will be transferring out of the program.

I wonder who in their right mind would pick him up. Or maybe he should go back to Colorado, since he can only stand Denver fans.
Not saying he will but it's not like its hasn't happened before.

Wow, err... I didn't know that about Pulu.

That information doesn't sit well with me. I hope we don't pick up a player like that again, regardless of the talent. It just looks so bad....

from what I have read about it, it basically boiled down to him sticking up for his younger brother at some party and he ended up going a little too far. he took responsibility for it and did his penance. from what I have seen during his time at eastern he was nothing but a good student and rep of the program, so I definitely think he deserved a second chance. doubt Baldwin would have taken a chance on that kind of player if he thought differently.

Being a Husky fan also it wouldn't have bothered me If Coach Peterson told them both adios! When SPD said there would be no charges on Miles I think that was the only thing that saved him. Pulu lost his head and did something stupid and has no one to blame but himself but the thing that bothered me most about Miles and Stringfellow is that they went looking or trouble! Both are super gifted and Stringfellow I'm sure will catch on with another D1 team. Too much talent there to be passed up. The guy looked like he should be a linebacker and fast. The one good thing about Pulu is he didn't screw up his second chance!

Just hope those other two can do the same.

This makes me feel better, thanks. Pulu did good things for this program.

It's all about vetting the player and the circumstances regarding their past troubles, their commitment to the game and becoming a better person. Some coaches have a knack for it, like June Jones. He rolled the dice on two guys who became the backbone of Hawaii's Sugar Bowl team (Brennan and Bess). Not every player is able or willing to turn it around, but in today's age, with tons of information floating online and the ability to contact people who know the player, it's a little easier to make an informed decision that can do wonders for your team.

Surprised Peterson reinstated Miles. Interesting to see if he plays this year. Peterson is known for taking a stand and sticking to it. This is a different case in my mind since it involves what will be UW's starting QB.

QB is the leader and spokesman to your and there's a higher standard to be met there.

Miles is their best QB by far and it isn't close. If he plays makes the game much tougher for the Eags, especially with their issues on defense.

I think he should have gotten the boot. A kid does that at Eastern and he is done.

at face value it seems like both of them should have been dismissed. we never hear 100% of the details of these kind of incidents though so it's hard to tell what the coaches are thinking at the time.
