Eastern vs Idaho Game Thread

Did I just see what I thought I saw when I saw it? So many records broken this team looked so good on such a fine day. Talked to several people who tried to get tickets for this game for friends but said it was sold out. Didn't look sold out..weak showing for Idaho fans and could have had more students. Today was fine!

I'm still in awe over how bad Idaho is. Seriously, they have maybe 5 guys on their total 2-deep that would be in our 2-deep. They have fallen into some sort of rabbit hole. I remember thinking how awful they were when we played them back in 2012. As bad as they were then, it's still probably 2 TDs better than where they are now.

Off Twitter: The WR group played their best game collectively all season. Big catches, great routes, superb blocking downfield. Boston, Roberson had a career highlight game.

I’d out the trio of Limu-Jones, Boston, and Roberson up against any receiving corps in the FCS+G5 conferences.

Hopefully #1’s back soon, but that group is still good enough to dominate most secondaries even in his absence.

With the exception of the first play of the game that got brought back on a holding call, our receivers are as good at blocking downfield as anyone, at any level, in the country. Watch Merritt's swing pass TD... I believe it was Andrew Boston who just jammed a DB and shut his ass down, allowing Merritt to get to the endzone. That won't show up in stats, but it added 40 yards to the play. All of our receivers are good blockers. Hell, Cooper Kupp might be the best blocking receiver in the NFL. I love how that's something we hang our hat on.
