Eastern Vs. Montana Game Day Thread

We're playing hard, but not very smart. Offensively, too many drops. Defensively, too many long drives. One thing you forget each year until the Montana game is how many fucking calls they get. Jeezus.

We’re still in this game and from what I’ve seen we can win it. We didn’t play well in the 1st half at all in terms of penalties and dropped balls. Clean just some of that up and we’ll be in good shape.

Agreed. That was our worst half of football of the season offensively and we’re still in the game. Credit to their defense because they’re really good. But our defense hasn’t looked bad and is making some stops so we just gotta get that O rolling. We don’t need video games numbers, just efficiency.

I hope so, and fast. We’ve actually had ok success running the ball. I think next half we need to do more running the ball straight at them.

Also, middle and underneath routes. Attack the middle of the field.

yup, I like the deep routes but not when the Qb has 3 seconds to throw the ball. We need to run more quick hitters.

The only thing I’ve really seen is that the holding is not being called equally.

Besides Chism and Merritt, who will step up in the second half? This game is like BDSM 101 of self inflicted pain. Soooo many drops, poor decisions, missed blocks and the penalties are enough to make you pull your hair out...

That said, Eastern is in this game and Montana has to be a little nervous about how they continue to stop the Eag offense in the coming half.

Love the effort out there, hope everyone hydrates so they can finish. This looks like it will be a barn burner. DL isn't quite getting the penetration I thought they might (some of it is the rotation) but they've hit Humphrey a few times and it showed latter in the 2nd qtr.

This isn’t going well. To their credit Montana’s playing really well. If we can’t beat them I’m not sure anyone in the conference can. Maybe MSU since that one’s always a crazy game.
