It's almost Friday and no discussion or dire predictions for the game against EWU this weeK?

The #2 team in the country with a very prolific offense and a very poor defense. They have consistently been giving up almost as many points as they score. But they are scoring enough to have only lost one game.

I am predicting another high scoring game for both teams, but I don't expect UNC will be able to keep it close. Unless of course they put the decision making in somebody else's hands. EWU by two touchdowns.

My other lead pipe lock prediction-

On 1st and goal from the 1 yard line down by 5, Collins will decide to attempt a FG rather than trying to score a TD to take the lead.

Although no one in the known football world thinks we have a chance in hell of winning this game, I am optimistic that we can hang with EW. Their defense is TERRIBLE. Granted our offense has struggled, but is starting to improve, and I think our offense is better than their defense. That being said, their offense is incredible, however if we can force a few turnovers and get a lead, we may be able to go score for score with them and sneak out of there with a win. Improbable? Probably. Impossible? No. Go Bears!!!

My heart is with you McCandyman. I would love for you to be right.

Go Bears!!!

I was in Spokane in July and we I convinced my coworker to drive down to Cheney to visit EWU's stadium. That part of Washington State is fantastic and their stadium is really cool but that red turf is horrific. It was cloudy and the turf seemed really reflective. I can't imagine what it's like when it's sunny.

I would expect this to be similar to the Montana game but probably losing by a wider margin. E. Wash is battle tested they won't lay an egg...

Blofeld you forgot our biggest concern, we have Collins...

Go Bears!

I could drive to the game tomorrow, but it's all the way across the state. A better Bears team and it would be road trip time. Not so much tomorrow. I did stumble across some people wearing UNC gear downtown Seattle so I yelled "Go Bears" and they got a laugh out of it. Prediction for tomorrow: EWU 45 UNCO 31. I'm still not 100% sold on our O even if their D is terrible.

Fox Sports Arizona is showing a replay of this game on Thursday at noon. Hopefully we can pull off a miracle and make it worth watching on the big screen.

I think we are all looking for a Bears upset but reality looks more like Miguels pick. Yet Miguel has never been known for much optimism on this forum so if we can get some turnovers and match some TD's , anything could happen. If EW plays flawless, it will be a long afternoon. GO BEARS !!

I actually think it'll be within a couple TD's. We have the injury bug pretty badly right now, and as everyone is probably aware of, Vernon Adams is out for probably another month, so we'll have a QB making only his second start.

And as was previously mentioned, our defense is not very good right not...7 true Freshman playing due to injury.

Well, we've forced them to punt twice, which I didn't know if we'd manage to do the entire game, so that's a positive. On the negative side, it doesn't seem we have an offensive game plan at all.

Who coaches our special teams and why are they still employed? We get a punt blocked almost every game!

Edit: I just checked, that's 5 blocked punts in 7 games, totally unacceptable. And they just got totally duped on a fake field goal. I could coach special teams better than this clown.

The punt formation the Bears is absolutely horrible. The lineman are so spread out that a 4 man rush can get a block. It's absolutely pathetic. I can't figure out the strategy behind it for the life of me.

Well nice effort by the Bears. Solid game from the defense and another poor game from the offense and special teams. Too bad Boyer can't call a game to save his life. Took him until more than half way through the 3rd to start taking advantage of the middle of the field. And somebody explain to me why Cartagena really only played that one series. They couldn't stop him.

Another high powered offense coming to town next week. Bears offense has to start clicking.

They played pretty well I was impressed by that. Moving forward if they could play like this the rest of the way they should be in all the games and dare I say maybe win one...

You know, I can say this team is playing hard. They are hanging in most of the games which is good for them. But it comes down to coaching again, when there are common themes every game that aren't addressed, it's really frustrating.

Exactly. I'm also really starting to question some of the offensive personnel decisions as well. For example, at least to my eyes, Graham and Cartagena are much better options than Holland. Holland is an average back at best. Yes, he runs hard, but it takes him 8 seconds to get to the hole and make a cut.
