Too funny E-Wu Tang Clan, you are probably right BEST will probably make another silly hire. My prediction, Zach Bruce will be the new EWU football coach if AB retires this year. Your right about AB, many assistant coaches who have departed didn't really like AB. I heard this first hand from my fellow colleague who played on the 2018 team.

He won't retire, he'll have to be fired. They might say he's going to retire for appearances then end up head coach at a high school or coaching oline at a FCS/FBS school a year later.
I assume you think they'd save money on hiring Bruce as HC? I'd argue they'd make more money with a proven HC hire that gets fans and donors excited about the program again and it would be better for the longer term success of the program. Your approach seems penny wise, pound foolish.
Shit if you want a former player a Matt Nichols or Erik Meyer would be more interesting and more consistent with our offensive minded identity.

Last I checked Erik was the Qbs coach at Cal Poly. Not sure what he's doing since Wulff was fired.

Private Christian school, so I'm guessing money is a factor in that. I'd love to get him back up to WA in some capacity as a Qbs coach or OC.

They're both DBs coaches? Weird.
So Torey Hunter hasn't coached since 2012 at Idaho and spent the time since then in operations in the CFL.
Ryan Lewis's coaching experience is 2 seasons at D2 but at least he has NFL experience Colorado School of Mines is generally a good D2 program I guess.
Seems to me like a washed coach trying to get back in it and a inexperience one who wants to put a D1 school on his resume. About what I expected.
And its not like Baldwin never hired any high school coaches either. The Seahawks just hired an OC with no play calling experience. But when you're successful you're granted more leeway.

If you're talking about Troy Taylor yea he was. He coached Jake Browning which statistically was one of the best QBs UW had. He actually got a letter of recommendation from Chris Petersen he gave to Baldwin.
There was also Jay Dumas who coached Kupp at AC Davis High School but I think he coached WRs at CWU before Eastern though. He's current HC of AC Davis and doesn't look to be doing too well.
