EWU QB Gubrud arrested

Reports are Gage Gubrud, quarterback for EWU, was "heavily intoxicated" when he and two other EWU players were arrested Sunday morning in Cheney. The players have all been suspended for this weekend's game at North Dakota. From the Spokesman Review (Spokane)

Sad with EWU still fighting for a playoff spot, probably needing to beat both North Dakota and PSU, and they will be without their "leader" this weekend. The kid from McMinnville has really put his team in a tough spot.

Hmm. Informing the police that they'll be sorry for their actions and letting them know that you're the quarterback for the local college. Probably not the best strategy for that situation. :-\
