DL needs to get nasty, the Davis OL is holding every single play. It's time for an elbow upside the head and maybe a delay blitz from a safety. I like this Hastings kid. Good feet and some poise. Need to put some pressure on him

Completely out of synch. I can’t explain it whatsoever.

I didn’t get a good look at that fake punt spot.

I thought he might have been short but they seemed to signal the 1st down pretty quickly.

Don’t understand the play calling. We have 2 big backs available for short yardage situation but we keep Merritt and try to run off of the edge.

Missing this many kicks is completely inexcusable. It’s almost like you 100% know he’s going to miss before the snap.

We could have run off the edge, EB3 just isn't seeing which edge. It amazes me that audibles aren't being used. If Merritt goes right it's likely a score but the play was called left to the short side of the field. A motion left to right at least gets the defense flowing right possibly or bringing a TE in motion left to lead block, but the scheme doesn't have that so EB3 needs to see what's happening and AUDIBLE... IMO

Good news is that despite a slow start the D is playing well enough to keep it close. Feel like there is zero coaching with special teams though.
