EWU vs. Nicholls Game Day Thread

Re watched the game. In the first half McPherson trucked a couple of Nicholl's DB's on two different plays and in the fourth quarter they didn't want anything to do with him on those big runs... Just feed McPherson the cheese...

McPherson has been my favorite offensive player this year. I'm wondering if he can snag a spot on an NFL roster.

The referee crew was from the CAA... They must have read my assessment of the actual competitiveness of the league. Only Maine remains.

The lead guy actually was the referee in the Natty two years ago and couldn't even talk today. Someone else who is an alcoholic is going to have to tell me if he looked hung over. Hard to tell.

Do you see the game better sitting home watching on your computer? Being there I can't say the game was terribly reffed.

Either you were at the wrong game, or may need to schedule a visit with your optometrist.

The reffing was pretty trash. Lots of calls that weren't penalties, lots of no calls when there should've been. Inconsistently called all the way through.

Ya, I guess I should, I didn't think the ref's had an impact on the game. Yes we had WAY too many penalties and many of them were stupid like holding away from the play. Grabbing a handful of jersey as a d-lineman ran by.
We are getting like the Bobcat board here, they complain about ref's after every loss which is most games

Ad hominem comparison to Cats doesn't actually address the reality that the officiating was at least inconsistent and at worst horrific. Let's stop comparing Eag board to Cats or Griz, they all have their individual flavor.

BTW, feel free to watch the replay and then tell me Levao grabbed a handful of jersey... I do think that ref's on the field can have a better view than fans in the stands or watching on TV and amazed how often they get it right. In lieu of getting it "right", will settle for calling the game the same for both sides. Either way, fans don't have much control of how it goes. It does feel like ref crews want to "make the game fair" instead of calling a fair game because the Eag's are the better team on the field. If anything would love to get more from you about the sideline demeanor of the team and coaches and any other information you get as superfan who attends most of the games.

You often remind me of El Guapo asking if they have a plethora of pinatas in the 3 Amigos.. a pretty funny scene. You're not turning fifty, so what is it?

He really caught my eye when the team beat WSU and he took the short pass and broke 3-4 tackles getting it in the endzone. After that he's been the most consistent heads up runner. Remarkable he's come back from two devastating leg injuries, it says everything anyone needs to know about his resolve. Going to miss him next season even with the stable of good backs Eastern has.
