The blocked field goal for a TD was a huge momentum play going to the half. Coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for making the correct adjustments at halftime to get the guys fired up and to play the way we should have all 1st half.
The referee crew was from the CAA... They must have read my assessment of the actual competitiveness of the league. Only Maine remains.
The lead guy actually was the referee in the Natty two years ago and couldn't even talk today. Someone else who is an alcoholic is going to have to tell me if he looked hung over. Hard to tell.
Hey Lucky, no shit man I turned to my wife several times and said someone give that guy a drink (works for me). At the game they had zoomed up close on the jumbrotron and every time he struggled uncomfortably...the whole crew was questionable.
Re watched the game. In the first half McPherson trucked a couple of Nicholl's DB's on two different plays and in the fourth quarter they didn't want anything to do with him on those big runs... Just feed McPherson the cheese...
Jesus, it's as if some of you chicken littles haven't watched this team play much this year. We may not always come out firing, but they don't quit. This game was very reminiscent of UC Davis, except the offense took longer to get warmed up. We have the defense and run game to stay in any game at the FCS level.
No, Barriere didn't play the greatest, nor is his accuracy where us as fans want it to be or are used to. But remember he's only 8 games in as a starter; he's still a rookie, and getting better. He made the plays with his feet when he needed to extend drives and get points.
Buckle up ladies; it's only going to get tougher from here on out, but we've got the team to get it done.
