EWU vs Weber State thread

Agreed. Let's keep the faith, time to put this one behind us...

Taiwan or no Taiwan, Weber and NAU are going to be extremely tough games, as will Sac State. We have all the tools to win these games, the team just needs to focus and "believe".

Maybe - you're right, I didn't get to see most of the game. It might be hard for the team/fans to put this one behind us as awful as we played, but we really have no choice. One game doesn't make a season, and we have the talent and coaching on this team to win more games, which we will.

All's not lost - yet.

No way to sugarcoat it, we put ourselves into an absolute must-win with our non-effort at Montana State. This was the great fear for this season, potentially playing ourselves into a lame-duck season after only a few geames.

Both WSU and EWU have put themselves in a must win situation. I don't see the loser of this game making the playoffs which is a shame for both teams.

I agree. And to be honest, AJ, I think Weber might have scheduled themselves out of the play-offs with those 2 FBS games this year.

Normally I would say that scheduling 2 FBS teams would keep you out of the playoffs, but WSU had 2 FBS last year and still made the playoffs. It does however give you a MUCH smaller margin for error. Any of you guys coming down to the game?

Wish we could make the game but am going to have to hope we have better luck with the internet TV feed this weekend. Will try to make it in a 2012.

Will comcast broadcast it locally here in Spokane? Anyone know?

I agree with AJ, the loser of this week's game will be home for Thanksgiving. I hope TJ is healthy. I want to see th best of both teams givin the importance of the game.

UNLESS: MSU loses at Sac and everyone keeps beating each other which I can't see.

the home team hasn't won in this series since 2007.
2009: WSU won in Cheney 31-13
2008: EWU won in Ogden 33,26

Whoever the BCS Champion is this year, the WILL have at least TWO league losses!!!

 Was gonna say, the BCS champion will likely be undefeated or only have one loss overall. :D

The days count down and I just have a bad feeling about this game... sort of like when we went into the Montana game in 2008 after laying an egg at Portland State.

Our offense looked sooooo bad last week, it's hard to imagine they suddenly come to life... and frankly our defense isn't good enough to keep Weber off the board on most of their possessions.

But our crappy performance last week made this a must-win, so it's do or die. Let's see what the team and staff are made of this weekend!

True on all accounts - but the good news is it's hard to imagine us playing a worse game than we did against MSU. And as poorly as we did play, we did move the ball against them, even without Taiwan. So, I think we'll come in slightly more focused in this game than we did against MSU, and I think we'll win it. Bold prediction, I know, but like I said we won't play worse than we did last week and we still have the talent on this team to win games.
