FCS Kickoff?

According to the article on Stats website, ESPN was pushing for the Eastern/NDSU game.

I'm guessing this is similar to a couple of years ago when ESPN wanted NDSU/Montana and NDSU said no. Apparently, if they're going to be the home team on ESPN, they want a guaranteed win. It's disappointing ESPN gave in and went with the only NDSU game they could air instead of finding a better matchup.

I taught they were waiting to play us ever since we defeated them in 2009, in overtime, to go and defeat Delaware State. I can see our WR pulling in the TD from Bo Levi, to go ahead, in OT and the "D" holding them, down
we went ahead and won the game. It has been very quiet out at Campus, this is vacation time, they should be back on Monday for classes, and FB Practice starts on Thursday 31st, can't wait. "Happy Easter Sunday" to ALL. Vic Wallace

Nah, we haven't been waiting to play you guys, we've been winning championships.
 
Bison fans have the ultimate "little di....I mean man" syndrome. 5 straight Championships and they still find it necessary to troll on other teams boards. :lol:

Not trolling at all, just saw on our fan forum that you guys actually think we didn't want to play you in the opener. If any of you guys actually believe that you're more delusional than Jax State was leading up to the national championship.

As much as I dislike some Bison fans, you have to respect what they've done....damn impressive. One thing they do that I wish we understood, is they put a priority on their schedule. They will only play certain non-conf games at certain times and they limit their road travel in non-conf play. Sucks for us as we could have been on national TV this year, but it benefits NDSU to move the CSU game up, thus they don't have to play EWU in week one and it gives them essentially a 2nd bye later in the season rather than the first week of the year. They also get a much easier game in their first game, to knock of the cob webs when EWU comes to town.

Hate the fact that they did this, but I totally understand. Wish we put more of a priority on our scheduling...
 
I don't think it's a scared to play us on national tv type situation...I just can't understand why that game was selected, who made the recommendation, etc.

Should be a great game. Bison are virtually unbeatable in the Fargo Dome, but I think we'll have the team to make it happen.

Ehh, I wouldn't go that far. I mean anything can happen and we always play in high caliber games but we still need to figure out consistent QB, RB and O-Line play along with defense to compete against NDSU. Remember, NAU trucked us last year.

Honestly EWU is going to need to find a good defense to have a shot at beating NDSU in Fargo. The Bison are going to run all day long. It certainly won't be impossible for EWU to beat NDSU, but the odds are heavily against EWU doing it, especially with EWU's defense being a major struggle for several years now.
