FCS Playoffs 2nd Round EWU @ UM Game Day Thread

Man, when the stars are not aligned, everything goes wrong. That's three catchable passes now that we've had drops on, two with Limu-Jones.

That being said, I think if we have decent special teams, I think this is a totally different game. We have no return game, no kicking game, and so many special teams mistakes that put the team in really bad situations.

Total bummer. I knew that our special teams were going to catch up with us sooner or later. You just can't give the other team good field position all of the time and expect to win. Also EB wasn't on tonight. His throws are off and it's obvious that he's dealing with a lot of pain.

Maybe, but we just quit tonight. Hate to say it, but Hauck outcoached us by a mile. We did so many things to beat ourselves. Offensively, we scored and moved the ball, but bad defense and abysmal special teams. You can’t give up 50 to a defensive team and have a chance. Really disappointing effort all the way around.

Interesting, we all thought Barriere had to create yards with his feet. I don’t think he’s run upfield a single time tonight. He seemed scared to death to run the ball, even when the opportunity presented itself.

I don’t think he’s run much because I don’t think he can run. I think that ankle is more of an issue than anyone realized. He’s been totally one-dimensional tonight.

Well EB3 is hurting but glad to see him finish vs one of the supposed vaulted defenses with a good game. Shredded this defensive team up. Our offense has 100 more yards than UM.

Nah, I'm not seeing it. He seems to be moving fine. It's 13 games into the season, of course it hurts. You gotta do the things that can win you a game. Even with that, it's not on him and the offense. Defense hasn't played well in the second half and we've gifted them so many points and yards on special teams that it's scary.

So funny watching this forum last two weeks about EWU getting the snub with a seed. Let’s be honest you have a red field with a track around it. Last week I saw about a 1000 people in the stands. Quit kidding yourselves. See you next season! Go Griz!

Welp, that's all she wrote folks. This team had all the potential to win, but giving teams short fields and special teams turnovers, not being able to put three on the board when needed. Congrats to the Griz, they played a great game. I think they can beat JMU. NDSU is a juggernaut, don't know that anyone is going to get through them again. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my pick to win it all.
