Final recruiting list

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but the Sports Network just posted links to all recruits in each conference.
Just looking over the Sky and found it very interesting that Kramer nabbed a couple guys from Spokane
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/...etwork&page=cfoot2/stat/bigsky-recruiting.htm

How is that possible? I have no idea how good those Spokane guys might be, but I don't like the fact that Baldwin isn't getting the local guys. I expect one or two to be on the list for UofM (I don't like it, but I expect it), but I don't want to see local talent playing in Pocatello.

It would be nice if every kid wanted to play close to home but that knife cuts both ways. If we didn't have a lot of the California kids we have it would be pretty bleak. I am happy to trade a Cody Mcarthy (Idaho) for a Karstetter any day. Not everyone is of the caliber we need here to maintain a NC caliber program so some go elsewhere, and position needs at a particular time play into the recruiting process as well.
We used to loose good talent to Montana but not as much anymore it seems. I can understand some kids just want to leave the nest and get away for college. I wish we did a better job of getting players from the west side of WA.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Eastern spoke to these kids about walking on and ISU offered schollies. Tough to turn down the free lunch; I can't blame them.

Looked at the updated roster compared to final signings list and noticed the following players missing.

Benjamin Gossmeyer DL 6-5 205 San Diego, CA (Steele Canyon) - Prop?

Cam Hemmings S 6-1 190 Norco, CA (Norco) - Ended up at a JC in Arizona. Grades?

DeAndre Johnson LB 6-4 220 Inglewood, CA (Inglewood) - I was tracking him as a Prop. Any updates? This guy is supposed to be an animal, I hope he's shown up to school and works hard in the classroom this year.

Jerrod Jones OG 6-5 280 Arlington, WA (Lakewood) - ???

Jalen Moore RB 5-10 195 La Puente, CA (Bishop Amat) - Maybe he decided not to come with all our depth at RB??

I know we always lose a couple kids from the previous recruiting class every year, but this is quite a few recruits not listed on the roster. Anyone know what the deal is with these guys?

Hey anybody know what happened to wr from Hawaii that played for EWU in 04 or 05? Cant remember his name but he was from hawaii and i believe he was from Grossmont JC in the San Diego area.

Two would-be freshmen – running back Jalen Moore and wide receiver Dalis Bruce – are not in camp because they have not been approved by the NCAA’s academic clearinghouse.

Hope they can hang onto these guys that didn't make it in.

I tried to locate this, but I recall some coach talking about how Bruce was such an accomplished student. Apparently not. Still hope he can make it into school...

It's not always because of the kid's grades. The NCAA clearinghouse is notoriously slow in processing anything, and often times kids with more than acceptable grades get held up due to bureaucratic molasses pumping through the arteries of an outdated and overworked machine. They stress that you get the forms in insanely early and even then, sometimes there are delays.

Let's hope it's just a delay. You'd think an honors student wouldn't have issues clearing. This kid needs to be on the field.

aglesfootball and all,
Dalis Bruce is on the roster, however, he is not in camp, could be in very soon, Clearing House is getting things done. Jordan Downing, LB is in camp, along with Jared Thompson, WR. They both will be taking their Physicals sometime this week. I will miss a few practices this week, having problems with these old knees, fluids on the left knee. Cody McCarthy had an injury on Saturday, however he was walking very good at Practice on Sunday with his left ankle bandaged.

Here are some of the Freshmen that I am very much impressed with. OL Thomas Gomez, Will Boule,Jabari Wilson RB, Westin (TR UW), and Zackary TR FM (WSU).Cooper Kupp, Shaq Hill WR, Defense M. Zamora, DB, Cedric Gonzalez DB, and more. Cody Hecker is now back at RB, and looking great. The entire Running Back group are doing great. Trevor Westlon (sp), 80's Player was out yesterday, he loves what he saw. Good Morning. Vic p.s. Two Players that is still home are, Dalis Bruce WR, Charles Redd 11. Hope they get cleared soon.

Interesting that both of these guys are from the same HS. So maybe the delay was the school getting the stuff to the NCAA on time. Two kids having to sit out camp from the same HS most likely isn't just a coincidence.

Dalis Bruce is headed to Cheney today as reported last week. Believe it or not some highschools still send NCAA stuff through snail mail.

If the kid did everything he was supposed to, the NCAA needs to be kicked in the ass. You can't just leave someone hanging like that.
