Final recruiting list

I know Cody McCarthy went to high school in Boise but he considers himself a local of the area as he has family in Spokane, CdA, and the Silver Valley. Both sides of his family have roots to the Silver Valley before Idaho was a State. He was born in Lewiston and grew up in Orofino where his family shopped in CdA and Spokane on a regular basis. One main reason for his picking EWU was he wanted to be close to family so family and friends could watch him play as well as get a degree in Physical Therapy.

how is his ankle doing?

NUCALIEAGLE,
If Dalis Bruce is on his way to Cheney, this will be great news. Spoke to him during the Summer Practices before the went home for 4 days off, he is a very respectable individual as is the other Players. :notworthy:  Didn't go out today, knee problems. :( ll try to it the road tomorrow. Vic

To All,
Forgot to mention Anthony King WR, from Franklin HS, Elk Grove, CA is not in camp. He did prop last year, spoke to him earlier in the season, asked him how was his grades, he wasn't sure. I remind him and all Players I spoke to "their education is #1. Maybe King problems could be his grades, I am juat guessing.

Here are some of the Defensive Players Freshmen, I for got to mention.#29 Diamonte Wiggins, DB,#94 Joe Hunt DL, #97 Anthony Lira DL, #98 Zach Wimberly DL, they are working very hard with the team. Offense #86 Keylin Huddleston WR 6'6", he utilizes his height, and has some great hands. We are so blessed with the WR we have here, will be hell when Dalis Bruce arrives and get into the practices. Believe it or not all 5 QB are throwing the ball very well. Bowe Merin told me he thinks him and Jordan West will RS. Vics

NUCALIEAGLE,
Spokae with one of our Coaches @ practice yesterday, he stated Dalis Bruce is about finished with Clearing Process, could be here this weekend, or early next week.

clawman,
The poles that kept the old scoreboard up, finally is out of the concrete, heard it took two days to dig both of them out of the concrete. Haven't heard if the new board is here as yet or it's arrival time.

Heard the Scrimmage this Saturday will be around 11:20am, on Roos Field, Volley Ball Scrimmage will be at 1pm, in Reese Court, after FB Scrimmage. Great practice yesterday, didn't see many injuries fm the practice. Jordan Pulu still haven't practice, he is out at practrice daily. Vic

Vic,
I actually recieved word late yesterday that Dalis was in Cheney. He spent 4 weeks this summer with the veteran receivers and has a good feel for the packages and formations. Should get real interesting now watching the WR's.

We certainly have an embarrassment of riches at the position.

NUCALIEAGLE,
I met Dalis Bruce when he was here with the Players earlier. That young man is going to be a "Speed Burner", outstanding hands :notworthy:  . I am very much impressed with his work ethics. He is a very respectable individual. Can't wait to see him again with the Wide Receivers. Coach Junior is relishing with such speed and great hands with his Wide Receivers.

Team practiced on Roos Field today, it was like a maze trying to get in to see the practice. Due to the construction on the Scoreboard, makes it very hard to get in. You have to go in back of the Restrooms/Concession Stand. On East side by Visitors Stands, there is a gate on the SE side of bleachers, don't know if gates up top of Pressbox will be opened. Heard approximately 8,000 lbs of pipes will be needed for the New Scoreboard installatiin. Hope we have a great turnout for the 1st Scrimmage tomorrow. See you here. Vic

Vic,
We appreciate the updates here in So. Cal. I'm sure Dalis is happy to be with the team. Before anything he's a team player. He's a mature 18 year old and understands what he must get done to help the team. The EWU fans are in for a treat once he gets settled in. If you've got a chance to see his route running and catching ability you are really going to enjoy seeing him after the catch. Thanks for the update!

And we are looking forward to seeing him in action. Dalis will be pleased with the level of QB slinging the ball. When Wolffe was here I always wondered if the reason we had such good linemen wasn't because Paul was a lineman, now it seems obvious we get and train the best QB's given Beau's college experience.
To say he is a class act is a given or the Eagle coaching staff would not have consider him. I was impressed with the maturity of all of the players when I saw them in action @ the last practice I attended. Great bunch of kids. If anyone gets a chance to see a practice, you should go. You get to see these guys in a different light than just game day.
Go Eagles

NECALIEAGLE,
Dalis Bruce did come in sometime Friday, he was @ the Scrimmage on Saturday doing Punt Returns, he did not have pads on, so he couldn't take any hits. Like I said, I spoke to him earlier this Summer, very quiet individual, and he loves it here @ EWU. For anyone that didn't attend the Scrimmage Saturday, you missed some great plays, i.e. Brandon Kaufman making a one hand catch from a bomb thrown to him by QB Kyle Padron. :notworthy:  The defense clamping down on a one yd run. Both our DL/OL are going to be great. It will be fun watching this team perform.

Todd Raynes is looking great in his new position DB, he had a pick in the Scrimmage. :thumb: :notworthy: Todd used to be a WR/TE. I am sure you will be able to read Jim Allen report about the scrimmage (Spokesman Review). Next Scrimmage Thursday Aug. 23rd, 12,@ 12.20hrs. Will be there. Cali it is a great pleasure keeping you and all our "FANS" informed on what is going on here @ EWU Sports. We have an "Outstanding Sports Reporter" keeping all Fans informed on what is going on the Field. Take care. Vic Wallace

Vic,
Really appreciate the updates. We had a family wedding this weekend, so missed making the trip east to watch the boys perform. Got my tickets today for the WSU game. Back to back week trips to east will be fun..just wish I could make an excuse to stay the week in between. Unfortunately, my golf game is in the toilet, so I can't even think about enduring a couple days of that in between...

Keep up the good work!!!

Loloman

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just saw on twitter via Jim Allen that Dalis Bruce was arrested this morning for "3rd degree sexual assault".

Suspended indefinitely. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

We never even got to see him with pads on.

Damn...if true I'm sure he will be kicked off the team. No place for stuff like this.

I guess we will find out more in the next couple days...he never even suited up, was he even in Cheney for a week? Didn't he arrive on Friday?
